Job description

The Finance and Administration Analyst will play a critical role in supporting the Vice President for Finance and Administration (VPFA) Office by managing financial processes, approvals, and projects. The role involves financial analysis, reporting, and budgeting. The incumbent will also lead special projects as prioritized by the VPFA, contributing to strategic financial planning and decision-making.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manage and process approvals for expense reports and invoices within the VPFA Office.
• Review and process purchase requisitions on behalf of the VPFA.
• Prepare financial reports, dashboards, and performance metrics to aid in decision-making throughout the VPFA division.
• Assist with the development of budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and strategies.
• Perform in-depth financial analysis of golf course operations, including revenue trends, cost control, budget analysis, daily transactions and expenses, general reporting and profitability forecasting.
• Ensure compliance with policies, financial controls, regulations and external agencies.
• Assist division departments with development for training and best practices and perform periodic reviews.
• Collaborate with procurement teams to resolve any issues or discrepancies.
• Work with departments within VPFA division to update and create internal policies and procedures which may require collaboration with other university units.
• Lead and manage projects as assigned by the VPFA, focusing on operational efficiency, cost savings, and process improvements.
• Provide timelines and status updates to projects that are assigned by VPFA.
• Assist in audits and compliance reviews as required.
• Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor's degree in any field.
• 1+ years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting, or related role.
PREFERRED QUALIFACTIONS:
Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
