Job Title: iOS Developer - Application Development Programmer
Location: Graybar Building, 420 Lexington Avenue, New York, NY
Job Type: Contract (12 Months)
Pay Rate: $60/hour
Work Arrangement: Hybrid - 3 days onsite / 2 days remote
Work Location Requirement: Local candidates only
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced iOS Developer with a minimum of 18 months of professional iOS development experience and a Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in mobile application development, particularly with Xcode, Swift, SwiftUI, Objective-C, UI/UX design, Core Data/SwiftData, persistent data stores, concurrency, operational queues, and software design patterns.
The developer will be responsible for designing, developing, debugging, testing, documenting, and maintaining iOS applications while collaborating closely with business stakeholders and other technical team members.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, maintain, and enhance iOS mobile applications using Swift, SwiftUI, and Objective-C.
  • Take ownership of assigned application design and development tasks from requirements through implementation and testing.
  • Work with business stakeholders to understand, clarify, and validate technical requirements.
  • Develop scalable and maintainable application components following established software design patterns and coding standards.
  • Work with Xcode, Instruments, Swift, SwiftUI, and Objective-C throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Implement and maintain application data using Core Data, SwiftData, and other persistent storage technologies.
  • Integrate mobile applications with RESTful Web Services and APIs, including handling and parsing JSON data.
  • Implement appropriate software design patterns such as MVC, MVVM, MV, Singleton, GCD, concurrency, multithreading, and operational queues.
  • Design and develop user interfaces based on UI/UX requirements, wireframes, and design specifications.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application defects and production issues in a timely manner.
  • Use application monitoring and crash/error reporting tools to identify and resolve issues.
  • Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and application quality assurance activities.
  • Work with GitHub and CI/CD processes to support source control, builds, testing, and deployments.
  • Use tools such as Firebase, Crashlytics, Sentry.IO, and Cursor or comparable development/AI tools.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, application documentation, and development standards.
  • Assist other developers with coding, troubleshooting, and technical issues.
  • Work independently while collaborating effectively with the broader development team.
  • Provide technical guidance, knowledge sharing, and mentoring to other team members when required.

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 18 months of professional experience as an iOS Developer.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university in Computer Science or a related field.
