Your Opportunity
We are seeking a Senior Developer with proven experience developing modern full-stack applications. This role will be responsible for managing a team of application developers to deliver high quality solutions for various clients.
Your Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of application developers to support several client projects
  • Provide technical leadership and oversight for application development initiatives
  • Participate in client meetings and communications
  • Help maintain and modernize legacy applications
  • Contribute to frontend and backend development efforts for new applications and features
  • Track down bugs and implement fixes for existing applications
  • Perform code reviews to ensure alignment with team standards and best practices
  • Deploy solutions to the cloud and client servers
  • Implement build and release pipelines
  • Participate in the technical planning & requirements gathering phases

Qualifications
Your Capabilities and Credentials
  • Proven experience developing modern full-stack web applications with various technologies
  • Strong communication skills and technical aptitude
  • Experience Node.js + Express and .NET
  • Experience building user interfaces with React
  • Strong understanding of relational databases - experience with SQL server and PostgreSQL
  • Experience with ORMs, including Entity Framework and Drizzle
  • Experience developing applications in the Azure Cloud environment
  • Ability to translate requirements into high quality, reliable solutions
  • Ability to maintain and update legacy applications to meet current development standards and improve user experience
  • Experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is a plus

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience
  • Azure certifications are a plus

About the Team
Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
Benefits Summary: Regular full-time and part-time employees (working at least 20 hours per week) have access to medical, dental, and vision plans, a wellness program, health saving accounts, flexible spending accounts, 401(k) plan, employee stock purchase program, life and accidental death & dismemberment (AD&D) insurance, short-term/long-term disability plans, emergency travel benefits, tuition reimbursement, professional membership fee coverage and paid family leave. Regular full-time and part-time employees will receive ten paid holidays in each calendar year. In addition, employees will be eligible to accrue vacation between 10 and 20 days per year and eligible for paid sick leave (and if more generous, in accordance with state and local law).
Temporary/casual employees have access to 401(k) plans, employee stock purchase program, and paid leave, in accordance with state and local law.
