Position Overview Our team is seeking a skilled Network Engineer to support the design, implementation, modernization, and sustainment of secure enterprise and mission-focused network environments. This position will play a key role in maintaining critical infrastructure, improving network reliability, and supporting advanced technology initiatives within a highly secure environment. The selected candidate will work alongside engineers, administrators, and cybersecurity professionals to evaluate existing network architectures, troubleshoot complex issues, and implement solutions that enhance availability, performance, and security. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge technology initiatives while supporting operationally critical systems. Key Responsibilities
Design, deploy, and support secure network infrastructures across enterprise environments
Configure and maintain routing, switching, and network services to meet mission requirements
Troubleshoot complex network performance, connectivity, and interoperability issues
Develop and maintain network architecture documentation, implementation procedures, and operational standards
Support network modernization efforts, system integration activities, and infrastructure enhancements
Implement and maintain network security technologies, including firewalls, encryption solutions, and access controls
Monitor network health and optimize performance, reliability, and availability
Collaborate with engineering and security teams to resolve technical challenges and support operational objectives
Participate in change management, maintenance planning, and disaster recovery activities
Provide technical expertise on emerging networking technologies and best practices
Required Qualifications
3+ years of experience supporting enterprise network infrastructure
3+ years of experience designing, implementing, or troubleshooting secure network environments
Experience configuring and optimizing routing, switching, and transport services
Experience developing technical documentation, operational procedures, and implementation standards
Knowledge of networking technologies and protocols such as BGP, NAT, VPN/IPsec, and related services
CompTIA Security+ certification (or equivalent security-focused certification)
Active Secret or Top Secret security clearance with the ability to support classified programs
High School Diploma or equivalent Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting cloud-connected environments
Familiarity with AWS and/or Microsoft Azure networking concepts
Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware vSphere or Horizon
Experience supporting secured operational environments and restricted-access facilities
Knowledge of authentication and centralized access control systems such as TACACS+ and RADIUS
Experience creating and maintaining network support and engineering documentation
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or related field
Cisco certifications such as CCNA or CCNP
Cloud certifications including Cloud+, AWS, Azure, or related credentials
