Position Overview

Zedcor is looking to add to our existing sales organization in the Edmonton area. We are looking to hire Sales Representative. Sales Representatives are a crucial position as we continue to execute our growth strategy throughout Alberta. This position is perfect for you if you have excellent interpersonal skills, are confident, articulate, ambitious, adaptable and are not scared to share your ideas to push the company forward. This role is responsible for securing new customers and successfully managing the sales pipeline required to achieve a plan.


Key Responsibilities

  • You have a large existing network in, but not limited to, the construction, Petrochemical, renewable, Energy and infrastructure sectors.
  • Travel to client locations within a designated territory to meet with clients, educate clients on Zedcor services and complete sales contracts.
  • Follow up on sales leads generated through website, lead generation tools, networking, phone calls or other sources.
  • Prospect potential customers use various direct methods such as cold-calling, face to face meetings, and indirect methods such as B2B sales.
  • Communicate proactively with all customers quarterly, to strengthen and expand relationships.
  • Complete weekly sales reports, ensuring KPI’s are met or exceeded.
  • Gather market data on pricing, client needs, client size, etc.
  • Adhere to processes and contract terms as determined by management.
  • Develop an intimate knowledge of product offerings and become an expert on providing solutions to solve client problems.
  • Build, develop and maintain profitable business partnerships and relationships which promote long-term success for both client and Zedcor.
  • Attend trade shows/training sessions when necessary to learn about new products and grow knowledge of product offerings.
  • Establish and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Work with management to develop and monitor sales strategy and KPIs.
  • Complete CRM daily inputting to have a clear pipeline of new business.
  • Perform other duties as requested.


Qualifications & Requirements

  • Strong hunting skills with a focus on building new business.
  • Ability to present in large group settings.
  • 3+ years of professional sales experience in business development or B2B sales.
  • Prior outside sales in equipment rental solutions to multiple industries considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of the security industry, and specifically industrial camera solutions, is beneficial but willing to train the right candidate.
  • Excellent professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with customers, problem solve and provide solutions.
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Self-Starter, driven and motivated to work independently with little oversight.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced competitive environment that is results-driven.
  • Proven track record in prospecting, qualifying, and closing accounts over the phone and in person.
  • Successful relationship building - external and internal.
  • Sound decision making and strategic thinking.
  • Experience in CRM software
  • Strong ability to work independently to efficiently manage the assigned territory and accounts.
  • Candidate must be willing to travel in assigned territory– approximately 90% of your time will be outside of the office within your territory being home almost every night, some overnight travel will be required on a case-by-case basis.
  • Class C driver’s license with clean drivers abstract required.
