The Systems and Network Engineer at Seifert Technologies is responsible for getting our customers to the next level in regard to IT systems and Cybersecurity.  You will be part of a great team that supports small to medium-size businesses, and your job is to address customer needs and implementations in a super friendly and capable way.  You will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and maintaining efficient systems and network and security solutions that will keep our customers’ systems efficient and secure.

Daily Responsibilities

  • Interface with customers and address their IT Business needs, leveraging the entire team as necessary.
  • Collaborate with team members to align customer solutions with business requirements and make sure customer needs are being met.
  • Architect and Implement Microsoft 365 environments
  • Analyze tenant settings and standardize based on security frameworks
  • Design, implement, and manage networks, including configuring switches, firewalls, and VPNs ensuring compliance with security standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve connectivity, performance, and security issues quickly to minimize downtime and maintain service availability.
  • Work and manage support tickets accurately while recording time and maintaining detailed service records.
  • Use RMM tools to apply patches, service packs, and firmware updates.
  • Document customer environments by maintaining detailed records of designs, configurations, and changes to support future reference and audits.
  • Train and mentor Level 1 and 2 team members on technologies and processes.
  • Automate network operations by developing and utilizing scripts and automation tools to streamline repetitive tasks and improve operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 5-year work experience as a Systems and Network Engineer, preferably within an MSP or multi-client environment
  • Managed multiple Windows Servers in a corporate environment or across multiple customers
  • Microsoft 365 Cloud expertise
  • Solid knowledge of networking
  • Enjoy working with others as part of a team
  • Results-oriented with strong, friendly communication skills
  • Self-starter who can work with minimal oversight

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previously worked as an Engineer at an MSP for at least 5 years
  • Experience setting up cloud native customer environments, leveraging Entra and Intune
  • Set up conditional access policies for multiple tenants
  • Managed and deployed Intune policies for multiple organizations
  • Certifications: CompTIA Network+/Security+, Microsoft Certifications

Location: Massillon, OH.  This is primarily a work-from-the-office opportunity, with travel to customer sites.
