Job description

Company Description LTS Property Services is a California-based full-service lighting management company delivering intelligent lighting and electrical solutions to educational, commercial, industrial, retail, institutional, government, and multi-family residential clients. The team provides lighting maintenance, electrical repairs, and quality upgrades designed to improve safety, efficiency, and performance. Services include lighting controls, ultrasonic light pole testing, pole maintenance and replacement, and LED retrofit projects. LTS also installs and supports card access systems, CCTV systems, intercom systems, EV charging stations, occupancy sensors, and infrared electrical panel testing. The company offers 24/7 on-call emergency electrical services, giving customers reliable support for urgent electrical needs.

Role Description The Certified Electrician role at LTS Property Services is a full-time, on-site position based in Santa Ana, CA. The electrician will perform installation, maintenance, and repair of lighting and electrical systems across a variety of commercial and institutional properties, including LED retrofits, lighting controls, EV charging stations, and access/control systems. Day-to-day tasks include diagnosing electrical issues, troubleshooting system faults, completing preventative maintenance, and ensuring code-compliant repairs and upgrades. The role involves working with light poles, lighting systems, electrical controls, occupancy sensors, and installations to support safety, reliability, and proper operation of electrical systems. The electrician will collaborate with project managers and field teams, maintain accurate documentation of work performed, and may participate in after-hours or emergency service calls as needed.

Qualifications - MUST BE CERTIFIED (please provide certification number with resume and/or cover letter)

  • Strong foundational knowledge of electricity and electrical principles applicable to commercial and institutional environments.
  • Demonstrated experience in electrical work, including installation, wiring, and system upgrades for lighting, controls, and related equipment.
  • Skills in maintenance & repair of lighting systems, light poles, EV charging stations, and auxiliary electrical components.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical issues, diagnosing faults, and implementing safe, effective solutions.
  • Background or formal training in electrical engineering or a closely related technical discipline is beneficial.
  • Current electrician certification or license valid in California, with knowledge of NEC and local electrical codes.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, plans, and technical documentation.
  • Comfort with working at heights and outdoors, using appropriate safety equipment and practices.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and clients.
  • Valid driverโ€™s license and a clean driving record to travel to job sites in the Santa Ana area and beyond as required.
