Job description

An individual in Enterprise Risk Management plays a critical role in managing the bank's diverse risks to ensure financial stability and sustained growth. This involves the identification and management of enterprise-level and cross-cutting risks, designing and executing stress tests, managing climate risk and protecting against reputational risk. This integral role within the bank ensures operations are within a defined risk appetite and contribute to the overall objectives of the bank.
Individuals responsible for In-business Risk Management oversee risk identification, assessment, measurement, monitoring and reporting. They design and implement risk mitigation actions and focus on managing one or more risks in support of business activities.
Professionals in Enterprise Risk Management are entrusted with providing a comprehensive view of risk management which enables the bank to anticipate, assess, and mitigate potential risks, crucial for the bank's success.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform risk and control assessments in accordance with established standards, including evaluating business changes.
  • Support the implementation and assessment of various risk control policies, standards and inventories.
  • Identify root causes of issues and partner with relevant stakeholders to recommend corrective actions and improvements.
  • Monitor control breaches and disseminate lessons learned for process improvement across business units.
  • Conduct comprehensive reviews of control designs and management practices to mitigate risks.
  • Ensure the timeliness, accuracy, and completeness of control assessments before and after process execution.
  • Analyze risks as per policy requirements.
  • Support in recording and responding to risk events, ensuring accurate and timely capture.
  • Ensure adequate governance and training mechanisms are in place to manage risk profiles.
  • Assess risks ensuring adequate controls are in place.
  • Assist in implementing standards and procedures that align with organizational requirements for risk management.
  • Identify and implement control points and processes throughout the business.

Qualifications:
  • 2-5 years of experience
  • In-depth experience utilizing MS Office Suite, specifically MS Excel
  • Understanding of risk and control assessments and risk control policies.
  • Proficiency in identifying root causes of issues and formulating corrective measures.
  • Awareness of laws, rules, and regulations pertaining to business decisions.
  • Experience in evaluating business changes via risk and control assessments.
  • Proven track record of monitoring control breaches and disseminating lessons learned.
  • Proven experience ensuring governance and training mechanisms to manage risk profiles.
  • Experience in implementing compliant standards and procedures for risk management.
  • Ability to effectively operate software used for risk assessments, data analysis, and reporting.
  • Creating clear, concise, and comprehensive documents, reports, and procedural manuals related to risk management.
  • Proficiency in using advanced Excel functionalities for data sorting, filtering, and analysis related to risk management.
  • Managing and manipulating databases for storing and accessing risk-related data.
  • Understanding of basic cybersecurity principles to assess and mitigate online threats.
  • Experience using software tools for managing and tracking regulatory compliance.
