Job Title: Enterprise Risk Management & Insurance Manager
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Risk Management & Insurance Manager to lead the strategic administration of our enterprise insurance and risk financing programs. In this pivotal role, you will oversee our commercial property and casualty (P&C) portfolio, direct workers' compensation programs, and collaborate with executive leadership on self-insured captive management.
Working across corporate leadership, legal counsel, underwriters, and brokers, you will drive insurance procurement, analyze coverage forms, manage claims settlements, and perform risk exposure modeling to safeguard organizational assets and optimize financial protection.

Key Responsibilities:
Insurance Portfolio & Captive Administration:
  • Commercial P&C Oversight: Direct the enterprise commercial insurance portfolio (Property, Casualty, Liability, Cyber, Workers' Compensation) from procurement to policy renewal.
  • Risk Financing & Captive Support: Assist leadership in administering self-insured captive structures, participating in actuarial evaluations, loss control, and capital allocation strategies.
  • Broker & Carrier Engagement: Partner with brokers, insurers, actuaries, and legal counsel to evaluate emerging liabilities, negotiate policy terms, and maximize insurance recoveries.
Claims Oversight & Contract Risk Transfer:
  • Claims Settlement: Oversee complex property, casualty, and liability claims from initial notification through resolution and settlement negotiations.
  • Contractual Risk Analysis: Review commercial contracts, vendor agreements, and leases to enforce risk transfer standards and maintain organizational insurance compliance.
  • Compliance & Auditing: Supervise certificates of insurance (COI) issuance, regulatory reporting, exposure modeling, and annual premium audit reconciliations.

Candidate Requirements & Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (BBA), Accounting, Finance, Risk Management, or a related discipline [Required].
  • Professional Experience: Minimum of 7+ years of professional experience in corporate risk management, commercial insurance underwriting, or corporate brokerage [Required].
  • Claims Mastery: Demonstrated track record of complex claims management, coverage analysis, and settlement negotiations [Required].
Certifications & Advanced Degrees:
  • CPCU: Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter designation [Preferred].
  • ChFC: Chartered Financial Consultant designation [Preferred].
  • Juris Doctor (JD): Law degree from an accredited institution (active license not required) [Preferred].
Position & Option Details:
  • Setting: Corporate Administration / Enterprise Risk Management.
  • Placement Structure: Available as Direct Contract / Temp or Temp-to-Perm Placement.
