Welder – American Fan

Mission-Driven. Honor-Bound. Fairbanks Morse Defense. What’s your calling?

American Fan, a proud part of Fairbanks Morse Defense, is a manufacturer of air movement equipment for Industrial, HVAC, Commercial, Marine, and specialty markets. As a smaller facility backed by the strength and stability of a respected defense contractor and international corporation, American Fan offers a team-oriented environment where hard work is recognized and appreciated. Employees are treated like family, and leadership understands the value their team brings every day — whether it’s surprise breakfasts, catered lunches, or simply recognizing the effort you put in daily.

This is an outstanding opportunity for veterans, welders, and trade school graduates looking to build a stable long-term career with a company that values teamwork, craftsmanship, accountability, and pride in your work. If you enjoy working hands-on, learning new skills, and being part of a supportive culture where your contributions matter, this could be the right fit for you.

Summary

  • Produce quality parts in a safe and efficient manner with minimal to no spatter
  • Minimize scrap and maintain quality standards
  • Maintain good housekeeping of equipment and assigned work areas daily
  • Report any malfunction, damage, or repair needs to leadership immediately
  • Accurately complete required clerical forms including time sheets and scrap reports
  • Utilize required safety equipment and apparel at all times

  • Experience welding MIG & TIG on:

    • Aluminum
  • Ability to work independently and follow directions
  • Strong safety awareness and attention to detail
  • Ability to use hand tools
  • Ability to become certified as a Navy Welder per Company Qualification Matrix
  • Clean Background and Drug Screening

Why Candidates Are Interested in This Opportunity

  • Family-oriented and team-focused culture
  • Stable company backed by Fairbanks Morse Defense
  • Opportunity to support marine and defense-related industries
  • Hands-on work environment with growth potential
  • Leadership that recognizes and appreciates employee contributions
  • Excellent opportunity for:
    • Veterans
