Job DescriptionJOB SUMMARYGrand Victoria Casino is now offering a Dealer School for internal and external candidates with the opportunity to become Table Games Dealers. The program is designed for internal employees outside the Table Games Department and external candidates to learn the knowledge and skills necessary to become successful Blackjack and Specialty Game Dealers. This position is part-time.
The incumbent in this position must successfully complete a math assessment test, a pre-screen interview, as well as an 8 week training course. Immediately following the training course, the incumbent must also pass an audition prior to a dealer position being offered by Grand Victoria Casino Table Games Department.

QualificationsIdeal candidate will be an energetic individual that is also personable, professional, and possesses an outgoing personality. Candidate must pass class to qualify as a transfer to Table Games Dealer position.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Must have effective communication skills.
- Must attend 90% of training classes.
- Must be able to perform basic mathematical functions and pass math assessment.
- Must be able to obtain & maintain an active Illinois Gaming License.
- Ability to be physically mobile, and stand/walk for 8 to 12-hour shifts.
- Excellent guest service and communication skills.
- Must be able to work in areas containing dust, varying noise and temperature levels, lighting, vibrations, crowds and air quality.
- Must present a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
- Internal Transfer eligibility guidelines apply for current employees:
- Must not currently be on a final written warning
- Good attendance record is necessary
Ability to read, write and speak English. - Always display a high level of confidentiality and integrity.
- Capacity to work well with others and handle stressful situations with ease.
- Possess effective learning skills.
- Ascend and descend stairs and maintain equilibrium for an extended period.
- Must be able to work from a standing position and/or walking motion for extended period.
