DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This job centers on assessing requests and referrals for child welfare services and developing service recommendations through regular contact with families and community partners. As a County Caseworker 2, you will perform the following duties:
- Safety Assurance: Assess safety needs during initial contacts with families
- Intake Review: Gather information from referrals and general service requests
- Case Management: Coordinate service options based on identified family needs
- Community Contact: Engage with providers and families to support service planning
- Service Recommendations: Develop recommendations for Joinder or community resources
Work Schedule and Additional Information: - Full-time employment.
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Six months of experience as a County Caseworker 1; or
- Successful completion of the County Social Casework Intern program; or
- A bachelor's degree with a social welfare major; or
- A bachelor's degree which includes or is supplemented by 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences and one year of professional social casework experience in a public or privat...
