Job Title: Warehouse Manager - Lithium-ion Battery Manufacturing 

Location: Manteno, IL Full time Onsite 

Position Overview: 
We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee all warehouse and materials management operations at our lithium-ion battery and battery pack manufacturing facility. This role will be responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant handling of raw materials, components, and finished products, while supporting smooth production flow in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, a background in manufacturing or automotive supply chains, and familiarity with hazardous material handling. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Manage daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, inventory control, and shipping of materials and finished goods. 
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements related to lithium-ion batteries and hazardous materials (e.g., DOT, OSHA, EPA). 
  • Implement and maintain robust inventory management systems to ensure accuracy and traceability of materials. 
  • Coordinate closely with production, procurement, and logistics teams to support just-in-time manufacturing and on-time delivery. 
  • Lead, train, and develop a team of warehouse associates, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement. 
  • Optimize warehouse layout, workflows, and material handling equipment to maximize efficiency and reduce costs. 
  • Support Free Trade Zone (FTZ) and import/export compliance activities as applicable. 
  • Track and report KPIs related to inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, safety, and productivity. 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered. 
  • 5+ years of warehouse or logistics management experience, ideally in manufacturing or automotive industries. 
  • Strong knowledge of ERP and warehouse management systems (WMS). 
  • Experience handling hazardous materials and dangerous goods certifications (preferred). 
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills. 
  • Strong understanding of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.
