Job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Validation Engineer to join our Dallas Engineering team. You will be responsible for the "bring-up" and validation of advanced analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits. As a hands-on engineer, you will bridge the gap between design and production, ensuring our silicon meets all functional, electrical, and performance specifications.
Responsibilities Include:
  • Lead the bench validation activity of silicon ICs during the product development.
  • Understand the product specification and chip architecture and how it behaves
  • Develop a detailed post-Si characterization plan and work closely with design, systems and test teams to execute it
  • Design and develop schematics and layout of validation board.
  • Create and automate bench setup to streamline characterization and validation
  • Perform system level and parametric tests on the bench.
  • Debug device and setup related issues and drive the issue to closure independently
  • Review and publish detailed result report with different stakeholders of product development.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in validation of silicon ICs.
  • Worked on power devices like DC-DC convertor, Efuse, etc. is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with bench automation languages: Python(preferred), LabVIEW and Teststand.
  • Extensive experience with laboratory bench equipment, automated bench setups and generic embedded systems like Arduino, Raspberry pi etc.
  • Good understanding of PCB design for power products.
  • Hands-on experience in design and layout of PCB hardware: KiCAD, Altium
  • Experience with statistical analysis tools such as Spotfire
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrate open mindedness, and an eagerness to learn and think outside the box.
  • Be passionate about new, innovative methods and technologies
