Job description

Robotic Programmer Position Summary Engineered Systems Group is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Robotic Programmer to support our Finishing, Dispense, and Filtration (FDF) operations. This position is responsible for programming, troubleshooting, commissioning, and optimizing robotic systems used in automated manufacturing and industrial processes. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in robotic programming, automation systems, and troubleshooting while working collaboratively with engineering, manufacturing, and project teams to ensure successful project execution and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities Robotic Programming & Automation Program, configure, test, and troubleshoot robotic systems and automated equipment. Develop and optimize robot paths, motion sequences, and process parameters for efficiency and quality. Support integration of robotic systems with PLCs, HMIs, conveyors, vision systems, and other automation equipment.

Perform robotic system simulations and offline programming as required. Assist with equipment startup, commissioning, debugging, and validation activities. Modify and improve existing robotic programs to enhance performance and reduce downtime.

Ensure robotic systems comply with safety standards and operational requirements. Project Support Collaborate with engineering and project management teams throughout project development and execution. Participate in project planning, scheduling, and implementation activities.

Provide technical support during equipment installation and customer site acceptance testing. Travel to customer sites as needed for commissioning, troubleshooting, and support. Assist in developing project documentation, manuals, and training materials.

Troubleshooting & Continuous Improvement Diagnose and resolve robotic, electrical, and automation system issues in a timely manner. Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for system failures or process inefficiencies. Recommend and implement process improvements to increase reliability, productivity, and quality.

Assist with continuous improvement initiatives focused on automation and operational efficiency. Documentation & Reporting Maintain accurate records of programming changes, testing results, and project activities. Prepare service reports, status updates, and technical documentation as needed.

Communicate project progress, technical concerns, and recommendations to leadership and customers. Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Robotics, Automation, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field preferred. Experience programming industrial robots such as FANUC, ABB, Yaskawa, KUKA, or similar robotic systems.

Knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, industrial controls, and automation systems. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and organizational abilities. Willingness to travel as required for project support and commissioning activities. Preferred Skills Experience with vision systems and automated manufacturing environments.

Familiarity with industrial networking and communication protocols. Understanding of safety standards related to robotics and automation. Experience within automotive, industrial manufacturing, or engineered systems environments preferred.
