What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Manager Java React, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Manager Java React, you need expertise in Java and React.js development, a solid background in software engineering, and proven experience in leading technical teams. Familiarity with tools like Git, Jenkins, Docker, cloud platforms (e.g., AWS or Azure), and Agile project management certifications is often required. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills help you guide teams and collaborate with stakeholders effectively. These skills ensure the delivery of robust, scalable applications and foster high-performing, motivated development teams.

Are React jobs still in demand?

React developer roles remain in high demand due to the popularity of React for building user interfaces, especially in web development. Employers seek skills in JavaScript, React frameworks, and related tools like Redux, with many companies continuing to invest in React-based applications.

Will AI replace ReactJS?

As a Manager Java React, it is unlikely that AI will fully replace ReactJS, as React remains a popular JavaScript library for building user interfaces. AI tools can assist developers in coding and testing, but React's role in front-end development requires human oversight and design expertise. Staying updated with both React and AI advancements can enhance your team's productivity and innovation.

Will AI replace Java devs?

AI tools can automate certain coding tasks for Java developers, increasing efficiency and reducing repetitive work. However, Java developers are needed for designing, problem-solving, and maintaining complex systems that require human judgment and expertise. AI is more likely to augment rather than fully replace Java development roles in the foreseeable future.

How does a Manager Java React typically balance hands-on technical work with team leadership responsibilities?

As a Manager Java React, you'll often split your time between technical tasks—such as code reviews, architecture decisions, and troubleshooting—and leadership duties like mentoring developers, managing project timelines, and stakeholder communication. While you may still contribute code, your primary focus shifts toward enabling your team’s success, ensuring best practices, and facilitating collaboration between frontend and backend engineers. Balancing these responsibilities requires strong organizational skills and the ability to adapt to shifting project priorities. Regular stand-ups, one-on-ones, and cross-functional meetings are common tools to maintain alignment and productivity.

What are Manager Java React roles?

A Manager Java React is responsible for leading teams that develop web applications using Java for the backend and React for the frontend. They oversee project planning, code quality, and the integration of both technologies to deliver scalable solutions. In addition to technical expertise, they manage team performance, coordinate with stakeholders, and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. Their role combines leadership, technical oversight, and strategic planning in software development.

Highwire, a Veriforce company, is the Contractor Success Platform for asset owners, general contractors, and facilities managers. The world's most admired organizations use Highwire to ensure their contractors and subcontractors deliver great work, on budget and on schedule, by collaborating with them to dynamically mitigate safety, financial, quality, and sustainability risks during capital projects and facilities maintenance.
We're hiring full-stack Software Engineers to join our team in Boise, ID, to help shape the next chapter of our platform.
As a Software Engineer at Highwire, you'll help strengthen and scale our platform by building high-quality software in Java/Angular. Your work will expand our engineering capacity, accelerate innovation, and support the continued evolution of a global, high-impact product suite.
What you'll do:
  • Deliver industry-changing software. We are dedicated to reducing contractor risk and workplace fatalities. Our software helps the world's most sophisticated organizations deliver high-caliber, environmentally safe work. We make the world a safer place.
  • Execute against sprint objectives. As a software engineer, you'll rely on Agile Methodologies to deliver on sprint-by-sprint objectives and advance our product roadmap in a full-stack capacity.
  • Level up your skills. We have a culture of feedback and continuous improvement. On our engineering team, this means reviewing your peers' code, providing feedback, and relishing the feedback you receive from your peers. We push each other to be great.

Who you are:
  • A full-stack engineer. You should be proficient in a modern programming language and at least one modern frontend framework such as React or Angular.
  • Curious. You love learning how things work, whether it's new technologies, systems, or ideas. You're excited to dive into unfamiliar topics, stay up to date with evolving tools, and often explore your interests through side projects or hobbies outside of work.
  • Detailed. You think through edge-case scenarios and develop thoughtful test plans to ensure high-quality product development. You are organized, accountable, and you don't let details slip through the cracks.
  • Collaborative. You work well with people from diverse backgrounds and have a knack for explaining complex topics to non-technical audiences. You want the best idea to win and know that we all accomplish more when we don't care who gets the credit.

If you have at least a few years of full-stack coding experience, a desire to tackle a large range of technical challenges, and an opportunity to stretch yourself and become a stronger engineer, we want to meet you.
What you'll get in return:
Our benefits go well beyond the basics. To support your work-life integration, we built a benefits program that takes care of the whole person, including physical, mental, financial, and emotional health.
