What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Manager Java React, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Manager Java React, you need expertise in Java and React.js development, a solid background in software engineering, and proven experience in leading technical teams. Familiarity with tools like Git, Jenkins, Docker, cloud platforms (e.g., AWS or Azure), and Agile project management certifications is often required. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills help you guide teams and collaborate with stakeholders effectively. These skills ensure the delivery of robust, scalable applications and foster high-performing, motivated development teams.

Are React jobs still in demand?

React developer roles remain in high demand due to the popularity of React for building user interfaces, especially in web development. Employers seek skills in JavaScript, React frameworks, and related tools like Redux, with many companies continuing to invest in React-based applications.

Will AI replace ReactJS?

As a Manager Java React, it is unlikely that AI will fully replace ReactJS, as React remains a popular JavaScript library for building user interfaces. AI tools can assist developers in coding and testing, but React's role in front-end development requires human oversight and design expertise. Staying updated with both React and AI advancements can enhance your team's productivity and innovation.

What is the difference between Manager Java React vs Java Developer?

The main difference between a Manager Java React and a Java Developer is that the manager oversees projects and teams, focusing on coordination and leadership, while the developer concentrates on coding and technical implementation. Both roles require Java and React skills, but the manager also needs strong leadership and project management experience.

Is React still in demand in 2026?

React remains a highly in-demand skill for Java React managers and developers in 2026, as it is widely used for building dynamic web applications. Knowledge of React, along with Java and related frameworks, continues to be valuable for front-end development roles and team leadership positions in the tech industry.

Will AI replace Java devs?

AI tools can automate certain coding tasks for Java developers, increasing efficiency and reducing repetitive work. However, Java developers are needed for designing, problem-solving, and maintaining complex systems that require human judgment and expertise. AI is more likely to augment rather than fully replace Java development roles in the foreseeable future.

How does a Manager Java React typically balance hands-on technical work with team leadership responsibilities?

As a Manager Java React, you'll often split your time between technical tasks—such as code reviews, architecture decisions, and troubleshooting—and leadership duties like mentoring developers, managing project timelines, and stakeholder communication. While you may still contribute code, your primary focus shifts toward enabling your team’s success, ensuring best practices, and facilitating collaboration between frontend and backend engineers. Balancing these responsibilities requires strong organizational skills and the ability to adapt to shifting project priorities. Regular stand-ups, one-on-ones, and cross-functional meetings are common tools to maintain alignment and productivity.

What are Manager Java React roles?

A Manager Java React is responsible for leading teams that develop web applications using Java for the backend and React for the frontend. They oversee project planning, code quality, and the integration of both technologies to deliver scalable solutions. In addition to technical expertise, they manage team performance, coordinate with stakeholders, and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. Their role combines leadership, technical oversight, and strategic planning in software development.

Detailed JD (Roles and Responsibilities)
We are looking for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer who is having relevant experience of 8 years in end-to-end across a modern React.js frontend and a Spring Boot microservices backend. You'll design and build resilient APIs, craft accessible and performant user interfaces, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ship customer-centric experiences at speed and scale.
Key Responsibilities
End-to-End Delivery
Own features across frontend (React + TypeScript) and backend (Java + Spring Boot)-from design and implementation to testing, deployment, and observability. Translate business requirements into clean architecture, reusable components, and well-documented APIs. Champion quality through code reviews, pair programming, and continuous improvement.
Frontend (React)
Build responsive, accessible SPA features with React 18+ and TypeScript/JavaScript, using modern patterns (hooks, context, custom hooks). State management with Redux Toolkit or React Query; React Router for navigation. Forms & validation (React Hook Form, Yup/Zod), charts, and component libraries (MUI/Ant/Chakra). Styling with CSS Modules/SCSS/Tailwind; enforce standards via ESLINT/Prettier. Testing with Jest + React Testing Library; E2E with Cypress/Playwright. Performance tuning (code-splitting, lazy loading, memoization, Core Web Vitals). Accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA), internationalization (i18n) where applicable. (Optional) SSR/SSG using Next.js for SEO-sensitive surfaces.
Backend (Java/Spring)
Design and build RESTful microservices with Spring Boot, Spring Web, Spring Data JPA/Hibernate Secure services with Spring Security, OAuth2/OIDC, JWT; manage CORS/CSRF correctly for web clients. Define API contracts with OpenAPI/Swagger; ensure backward compatibility and versioning .Event-driven patterns (Kafka/RabbitMQ) and caching (Redis) as needed. Testing: JUnit 5, Mockito, Test containers for integration tests. MySQL, NoSQL (MongoDB/DynamoDB).
Performance profiling, SQL query optimization, resilience (timeouts, retries, circuit breakers).
DevOps & Platform.
CI/CD (GitHub Actions/Azure DevOps/Jenkins) for both frontend and backend pipelines (build, test, scan, deploy). Containerization with Docker, orchestration with Kubernetes (Helm as plus). Cloud deployment on AWS/Azure/GCP; IaC with Terraform is a plus. Observability: structured logging, distributed tracing (OpenTelemetry), metrics & dashboards (Prometheus/Grafana), alerts (ELK/EFK).
Collaboration
Work in Agile/Scrum; break down epics into deliverable increments, maintain technical documentation (API specs, ADRs).
Qualifications - Must Have
6-10 years total experience with at least 5+ years in Java (11/17+) and Spring Boot.
2-4+ years building production React applications; strong TypeScript/JavaScript proficiency.
Solid knowledge of HTML5/CSS3, responsive design, and web accessibility fundamentals.
REST API design; JSON; understanding of CORS, CSRF, and browser security. Proficient with Git (branching strategies), code reviews, and PR workflows. Testing mindset: unit, integration, and E2E for both frontend and backend. Experience with Docker and a mainstream CI/CD tool. Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Nice to Have
Next.js, Redux Toolkit, React Query, Storybook (design systems).
Grahl (Apollo/federation) or TRPC. Messaging (Kafka), caching (Redis), and Kubernetes production experience. open API first development; API gateways. Security tooling (SAST/DAST, OWASP Top 10) and secrets management. Performance profiling (Lighthouse, Chrome Dev Tools, JFR, JMC) and Core Web Vitals ownership.
