Private Wealth Custom Portfolio Solutions Team
Full-time, Boston or Springfield
The Opportunity
We are seeking a detail-oriented and client-focused Investment Operations Consultant to join our growing Private Wealth Custom Portfolio Solutions team. The role will support the efficient implementation, monitoring, and servicing of client investment portfolios. Your work will be fast-paced and innovative and will require marshaling resources across the organization. You'll interface frequently with our broader Wealth Management organization and help us implement best practices of portfolio management.

The Impact
This role is critical to ensuring the smooth execution and integrity of portfolio operations-serving as the backbone between investment decisions and client outcomes. By maintaining accuracy, mitigating risk, and driving operational efficiency, this team enables scalable growth and a consistent client experience across MassMutual Private Wealth.
  • Ensuring timely and accurate trade processing, including order entry, allocation, and post-trade reconciliation
  • Coordinating with custodians and trading platforms to achieve efficient execution and resolve trade-related issues
  • Monitor trade activity to ensure alignment with investment models, client restrictions, and regulatory requirement
  • Monitor portfolios for data integrity (e.g., cost basis, holdings accuracy, model alignment) and proactively resolve discrepancies
  • Identify and escalate trade errors, operational risks, and process gaps; contribute to remediation efforts
  • Support continuous improvement of workflows, automation, and scalability across portfolio operations
  • Contributing to the growth of the MassMutual Private Wealth business. Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, scalability, and accuracy.

The Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2+ years experience in investment operations, trading, or portfolio implementation
  • Due to the nature of this position, as a part of our background check process, candidates must be able to pass a non-registered fingerprint background check to qualify as a fingerprinted person under FINRA

The Ideal Qualifications
  • Experience in wealth management or client portfolio management environments
  • Familiarity with best execution principles, trade lifecycle, and portfolio rebalancing workflows
  • Series 66 and/or Series 7 at time of application
  • Exceptional analytical, problem solving, and communication skills

Salary Range:
$67,400-$88,400
