Scope of Position

The Operations Manager provides overall leadership for a blow molding manufacturing operation, with direct responsibility for production, production scheduling, maintenance, tooling, engineering, technical resources, and continuous improvement initiatives. This position is accountable for achieving safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost objectives while ensuring optimum utilization of personnel, equipment, and capital resources. The Operations Manager leads cross-functional teams to improve operational performance, enhance manufacturing processes, drive innovation, and support the organization's strategic objectives.


Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of manufacturing operations leadership experience, preferably in blow molding and/or injection molding environments in the automotive industry.
  • Proven experience managing production, maintenance, engineering, tooling, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Strong knowledge of safety, quality, and environmental compliance standards (OSHA, EPA, ISO).
  • Experience driving Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and other continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to improve productivity, reduce costs, minimize downtime, and achieve operational KPIs.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets and controlling labor, material, and maintenance costs.
  • Experience overseeing preventive maintenance programs, equipment reliability, and capital projects.
  • Excellent leadership, coaching, team development, and succession planning skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and root-cause analysis capabilities.
  • Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency with manufacturing metrics, production planning, and operational performance management.
