Labcorp is seeking an Inventory Management Specialist to join our team in Indianapolis, IN.

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, First Shift

Inventory Management Specialist supports efficient inventory and order management, ensuring timely kit deliveries while aligning organizational goals. Conducts detailed analysis of order demand and inventory data to determine and execute minimum order quantities, helping to optimize stock levels and reduce costs. Process forecast forms to anticipate future demand, ensuring proactive planning and purchasing. Account for item expiration dates and current stock availability to place accurate and timely stock orders. Manage and maintain product data and project information, while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams globally.

Job Responsibilities

  • Place orders for inventory as required.
  • Activate products for designated projects as requested by the project management team.
  • Ensure the accuracy and consistency of both new and existing product information across internal systems.
  • Works closely with internal teams, including project management and global sourcing, to coordinate efforts and meet supply chain goals.
  • Identifies opportunities for process improvement and implements initiatives to enhance efficiencies and effectiveness

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma
  • Four years Excel and data entry experience
  • Two years of experience in clinical trial inventory management

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Managing multiple responsibilities with minimal supervision while maintaining high levels of accuracy and accountability
  • Manage critical communication across organizational levels and functional areas, including project management, resource planning, global sourcing, and external teams
  • Act as a key liaison to ensure forecast forms are processed in alignment with organizational objectives. Support the development of best practices for handling recurring forecast updates and urgent requests.
