Ignite your impact as a Pharmacy Manager in an expansive network in a 300+ bed count hospital-a fast-paced leadership opportunity where clinical excellence meets coastal comfort!
As a Pharmacy Manager, this healthcare organization offers a mission-driven, patient-first culture with measurable outcomes, a strong reputation for clinical excellence and safety, and recent positive momentum that elevates brand trust across the region. The Pharmacy Manager will benefit from access to cutting-edge technology like AI-assisted decision support and remote monitoring, innovation-forward leadership that pilots telehealth and value-based care models, and high-acuity exposure that accelerates growth. Additionally, this Pharmacy Manager opportunity features clinician wellbeing initiatives, transparent career pathways, and modern data and analytics that streamline workflows and reduce clicks for meaningful time at the bedside.
As a Pharmacy Manager, the role drives safe compounding, formulary stewardship, antimicrobial programs, and end-to-end verification-dispensing-administration coordination for an expansive network across a 300+ bed count hospital. The Pharmacy Manager advances care through centralized distribution and decentralized medication cabinets, aligns with bar-code medication administration and clinical decision support, and partners on rounding to deliver timely therapeutics and consultative pharmacotherapy that improves outcomes and patient experience.
The Pharmacy Manager typically reports to a Director of Pharmacy executive while partnering closely with the Chief Nursing Officer, medical staff leadership, and quality and safety teams. Supported by clinical pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, buyers, and informatics resources, the Pharmacy Manager oversees daily operations, clinical programs, regulatory readiness, medication-use policy, inventory and 340B optimization, budgeting, scheduling, and competency development. In this environment, the Pharmacy Manager collaborates with friendly nurses and a diverse healthcare professional team to champion medication safety, reduce variation, and deliver pharmacist-led consults that clinicians count on.
Choosing Southeastern Virginia as a Pharmacy Manager combines rewarding leadership with a quality-of-life advantage. The area includes expansive outdoor recreation across pine forests, bayous, and lakes, with nearby national forest trails for hiking, paddling, fishing, hunting, birding, and trail running. In Virginia, one will find walkable town squares, growing bike paths, well-kept parks and sports facilities, and access to the beautiful coastline.
Candidates for the Pharmacy Manager role can expect competitive compensation aligned with market benchmarks, incentive eligibility connected to quality and operational goals, and a comprehensive suite of benefits that typically includes medical, dental, vision, HSA/FSA options, generous paid time off, life and disability coverage, and retirement plans with employer contributions.
