WHAT YOU’LL DO

In this role, you’ll be an important part of delivering top-tier INDYCAR broadcasts to viewers around the world. You’ll take ownership of key responsibilities, collaborate across departments, and bring energy and innovation to a fast-paced environment.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create camera lists and maps for each INDYCAR on FOX broadcast.
  • Lay out TV compounds for each INDYCAR venue.
  • Act as a liaison between INDYCAR and FOX Sports to ensure broadcast needs are met.
  • Secure quotes and order rental equipment or services from vendors.
  • Submit purchase order requests before signing any rental agreements.
  • Receive and place heavy equipment at each racetrack.
  • Request broadcast credentials and parking permits for the broadcast team.
  • Create catering orders with the IMSP catering vendor.
  • Assist with day-to-day on-site broadcast operations at each venue.
  • Other duties as assigned by Sr. Director, Broadcast Operations.

WHAT YOU BRING

Required Experience & Skills:

  • 3-5 years’ experience in broadcast operations
  • Current knowledge of live sports broadcasts
  • Experience with heavy equipment (i.e. scissor lift, booms, forklifts)
  • Ability to weather adversity with graciousness while attending to the longer-term goals.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • A proactive, flexible mindset and commitment to excellence
  • Passion for creating memorable experiences
  • Cultural competence and the ability to thrive in a diverse environment

Education:

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in communication, broadcasting, or television production is preferred.

Leadership:

  • This position provides on-site supervision of seasonal crew assigned to INDYCAR broadcasts and is responsible for planning, organizing, prioritizing, and overseeing certain broadcast activities.

FLEXIBILITY & TRAVEL

  • This position requires travel to all INDYCAR sanctioned events and other client needs as required. Flexibility is required due to the event driven nature of the business,

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Extended periods of standing or walking (as needed)
  • Comfort working indoors/outdoors and around event noise

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Fast-paced, collaborative office and event settings
  • Varying outdoor environments and climates
