Must Have Technical/Functional Skills
• Edge network architecture and CDN optimization
• Migration planning and execution
• WAF and web security expertise
• DNS and traffic routing
• Performance tuning and troubleshooting
Experience Required
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Networking, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 4+ years of experience in networking, CDN, or edge security engineering
• Hands-on experience with Imperva and/or Akamai platforms
• Strong understanding of CDN architecture, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, and TLS/SSL
• Experience with Web Application Firewalls (WAF) and DDoS mitigation strategies
• Familiarity with traffic management, load balancing, and caching strategies
• Experience with scripting or automation (Python, Bash, or similar)
Roles & Responsibilities
• Plan and execute migration of web properties, security policies, and traffic routing from Imperva to Akamai
• Analyze existing Imperva configurations (WAF, CDN, bot protection, DDoS mitigation) and map them to Akamai services
• Design and implement Akamai configurations including CDN, WAF, edge security, and traffic management
• Configure and optimize DNS, TLS/SSL certificates, caching rules, and edge routing policies
• Validate and test migrated applications for performance, security, and availability
• Troubleshoot migration issues including latency, routing errors, and access disruptions
• Implement best practices for web application firewall (WAF) rules and edge security policies
• Collaborate with application, security, and infrastructure teams during migration
• Monitor traffic, logs, and performance metrics post-migration and fine-tune configurations
