POSITION SUMMARY, DUTIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for an experienced and driven Senior Business Development Manager to play a key role in expanding Sapling's business in the Atlanta area. In this role, you'll act as a trusted advisor to clients cultivating relationships with Private Equity firms, Investment Banks, CFOs, and other financial leaders and aligning Sapling's consulting services with their strategic objectives. You'll also collaborate closely with firm leadership to refine business development strategies, contribute to revenue planning, and enhance Sapling's market presence.


Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Aggressively prospect and expand customer base in the Atlanta area, targeting Private Equity Firms, Investment Banks, CFOs and Lenders, and other similar businesses.
  • Execute against the strategic business plan, tactical objectives, and revenue goals, driving influence to grow demand and enable sales.
  • Collaborate with senior management to set sales goals that support business and revenue objectives, develop budgets, and create sales forecasts.
  • Ensure the company is increasing market influence and presence in key markets and achieving sustained market share growth through strategic and continuous sales activity.
  • Manage the sales process from lead generation to closing, ensuring a seamless client experience and high satisfaction.
  • Establish priorities and effectively screen new business opportunities to ensure alignment with company strategy and operational capabilities.
  • Set, measure and track target progress and performance to optimize sales strategies.
  • Work with senior leadership to establish and lead satellite sales offices in key locations across North America.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to promote our services and build relationships.


Requirements:

  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth in a sales hunter role
  • Experience in financial fields such as accounting, consulting, investment banking, lending, etc., is considered an asset
  • History of attaining revenue and performance goals as well as growing and maintaining a customer base
  • Demonstrated history of closing business opportunities and building long-term relationships, consistently meeting and/or exceeding goals
  • Excellent and persuasive oral and written communication skills required
  • Strong understanding of consulting services and industry trends
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze data, identify opportunities, and develop effective sales strategies
  • Proficiency in CRM software and sales management tools
  • Bachelor's degree
  • CPA/CFA or related designations are an asset
  • Ability to travel as needed (25%)
