HSS is seeking a Housekeeping Manager for our client located in the Ocean City, MD area.

We are seeking an experienced Housekeeping Manager to lead all housekeeping operations for a large resort property. This role is responsible for ensuring guest rooms, public areas, recreational spaces, and employee areas are maintained to the highest cleanliness and service standards. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with strong operational experience, team development skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all housekeeping, laundry, and recreational/facility cleanliness operations
  • Manage room assignments, room status updates, and daily operational workflow
  • Ensure guest rooms and public spaces meet brand and cleanliness standards
  • Conduct regular room inspections and quality assurance evaluations
  • Manage linen inventory, housekeeping supplies, and ordering processes
  • Coordinate closely with Front Office, Engineering, and Laundry departments
  • Resolve guest concerns and housekeeping-related service issues promptly
  • Recruit, train, coach, schedule, and evaluate housekeeping team members
  • Maintain staffing levels to support operational demands and guest satisfaction
  • Ensure compliance with company safety, security, and loss prevention procedures
  • Monitor employee performance and provide ongoing coaching and development
  • Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and guest-focused service
  • Ensure all housekeeping equipment and uniforms are properly maintained
  • Support operational efficiency while maintaining departmental budgets
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3-5 years of housekeeping leadership experience in hotels or resorts
  • Strong understanding of housekeeping operations, room inspections, and inventory controls
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and time management skills
  • Ability to lead large teams in a fast-paced hospitality environment
  • Strong guest service and conflict resolution abilities
  • Experience with scheduling, coaching, and employee development
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and work throughout the property for extended periods
  • Ability to lift and move housekeeping equipment and supplies as needed
  • Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
Compensation

The pay range for this position is competitive and based on experience.

Additional compensation may include discretionary bonus opportunities.
