Job description

Magen David Yeshivah is looking for Early Childhood Full-Time Hebrew Speaking Substitute Teachers at our Brooklyn school. Our faculty is a true Community of Learners and teachers thrive in an environment of support and growth. It is an exciting time to join us! Our Full Time Substitute Teachers will come in daily and be placed in different classrooms as needed. 

Responsibilities:

  • Follow and teach lesson plans provided by the Lead teacher

  • Experience teaching different classrooms in our Early Childhood School

  • Exercise classroom and behavior management skills

  • Build relationships with students, staff, and school community

  • Aid students in understanding subject matter and ensure regular classroom routines are followed

  • Bring a high level of competency, common sense, and stability

Qualifications:

  • Lead Subs must have a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred)

  • must speak Hebrew (candidates who don't speak Hebrew won't be considered for this position)

  • Assistant Subs must have a high school diploma.

  • Prior teaching experience required.

  • Must be flexible, friendly, and good at establishing quick rapport with students

  • Maintain a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality when dealing with student, staff and/or parent information
