Job description

GSOC Analyst

GSG Protective Services is seeking a sharp, mission-focused GSOC Analyst to join our team at a 24/7 Global Security Operations Center supporting a major media client with worldwide and high-risk operations. If you thrive in fast-paced environments, have a passion for global security, and are skilled at monitoring, analysis, and rapid communication — we want to hear from you.

This is an onsite, shift-based position with rotating hours including overnights, weekends, and holidays. Candidates must have full schedule flexibility.

What You’ll Do

As a GSOC Analyst, you will serve as the communications hub for global security operations, including:

  • Communications Monitoring: Monitor all channels of communication (email, phones, messenger apps) and meet KPI requirements for response.
  • Global Assistance: Answer assistance requests from employees worldwide.
  • Crisis Response: Serve as first line of response and escalation to panic alarms and other crisis communications.
  • Access & Camera Monitoring: Monitor access controls and cameras; respond to alarms and requests in a timely manner.
  • Data Management: Manage multiple data input feeds and spreadsheets to initiate, track, and log communications with travelers in the field.
  • Event Logging: Data log events, protests, and incidents for alerting, reports, and trend analysis.
  • Intelligence Gathering: Pull data from multiple vendor feeds to support stakeholder research and analysis.
  • Stakeholder Alerts: Communicate timely, concise, and proactive alerts to stakeholders.
  • Risk Monitoring: Monitor the global risk environment; analyze sources for timely, accurate, and relevant information.
  • Situational Reporting: Compile situational reports for stakeholders.
  • Emergency Communications: Send mass notifications and emergency communications.
  • Crisis Support: Support crisis mitigation and business continuity planning; assist in coordinating meetings, data, and response in scenarios requiring incident management.
  • Traveler Safety: Support travel and company asset security; monitor traveler and building locations and conduct welfare checks/offer assistance as needed.

What We’re Looking For

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or 2 years of equivalent experience.
  • Strong professional writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Proactive and comfortable with independent outreach to management and stakeholders.
  • Ability to make decisions, multi-task, and operate within high-stress situations, often under time constraints.
  • Experience aggregating and analyzing information in emergency situations.
  • Working knowledge of current global events and geography.
  • Ability to analyze and think critically, sometimes under ambiguous circumstances.
  • Strong computer skills; experience with complex platforms and strong understanding of social media and communications platforms.
  • Strong team player with willingness to assist with overtime when needed.

Preferred:

  • Prior GSOC and/or military experience.
  • Degree in political science, international relations, or national security.
  • Open-source intelligence (OSINT) gathering background

The Right Person Is:

  • Calm under pressure with the ability to make swift, well-reasoned decisions.
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple simultaneous data streams.
  • A strong communicator — written and verbal — who conveys critical information clearly and concisely.
  • Analytically minded with a genuine passion for global security and current events.
  • Flexible and available for all shifts, including overnights, weekends, and holidays.
