Position Summary:

The Dynamics 365 Technical Lead serves as the technical authority for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales and Customer Service solutions, driving the design, development, integration, and operational excellence of CRM capabilities across the enterprise. This role partners closely with product owners, architects, engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and resilient solutions that improve customer experiences and business outcomes. The leader balances out-of-the-box platform capabilities with custom development and integration strategies while establishing engineering standards, governance practices, and technical direction for distributed delivery teams. Success in this role requires deep Dynamics 365 and Power Platform expertise, strong integration and data engineering knowledge, and a passion for mentoring teams and driving measurable business value.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with cross-divisional, cross-functional product and technology teams to build seamless participant engagement capabilities and omni channel experiences

  • Serve as the technical lead and subject matter expert for Dynamics 365 Sales and Customer Service solutions, providing strategic direction and technical oversight across the CRM ecosystem.

  • Own end-to-end solution design and technical implementation, translating business requirements into scalable, secure, and supportable platform capabilities.

  • Lead the design, configuration, and development of Dynamics 365 features, including Leads, Opportunities, Accounts, Contacts, Cases, Activities, Queues, and SLA management.

  • Develop and oversee advanced platform customizations using Dataverse, JavaScript, C#, plug-ins, custom workflow activities, and custom APIs.

  • Design and govern Power Platform solutions, including Power Automate workflows that support sales processes, customer service operations, and business automation initiatives.

  • Lead enterprise integrations between Dynamics 365 and upstream/downstream platforms using REST APIs, GraphQL, event-driven architecture patterns, and cloud-based data ecosystems.

  • Partner with data engineering teams to design and support data ingestion, transformation, orchestration, and consumption frameworks, including Microsoft Fabric and enterprise analytics environments.

  • Establish and enforce engineering standards, application lifecycle management practices, governance controls, and DevOps processes that promote platform stability, performance, and scalability.

  • Champion secure-by-design principles, ensuring compliance with enterprise security, privacy, auditability, and access control requirements.

  • Provide technical leadership during production support activities, acting as the escalation point for complex issues spanning CRM, integrations, APIs, and data platforms.

  • Mentor engineers and technical contributors, conduct design and code reviews, and foster continuous improvement in engineering quality and delivery practices.

  • Collaborate with product management, architecture, and business stakeholders to prioritize initiatives, evaluate trade-offs, and ensure solutions deliver measurable business outcomes.

  • Support testing, deployment, release readiness, and operational monitoring activities, including performance, resiliency, and security validation.

  • Evaluate and enable emerging capabilities, including AI-powered platform features, while ensuring responsible data governance and adoption practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience.

  • 7+ years of experience in enterprise application development with a proven track record designing and delivering large-scale business technology solutions.

  • 3+ years of experience focused on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (Sales and/or Customer Service) and Power Platform technologies.

  • Demonstrated experience leading complex Dynamics 365 implementations, including solution architecture, platform configuration, and custom development.

  • Deep expertise in Dataverse data modeling, security architecture, business process automation, plug-ins, custom APIs, JavaScript, and C# development.

  • Experience designing and implementing enterprise integrations using REST APIs, GraphQL, event-driven architectures, and real-time or batch processing patterns.

  • Hands-on knowledge of data ingestion, pipeline development, orchestration, observability, error handling, and enterprise data integration practices.

  • Experience working with Azure services, cloud-native integration technologies, and modern DevOps practices including GitHub and Azure DevOps.

  • Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, release management, source control, and application lifecycle management.

  • Experience leveraging AI-enabled platform capabilities to improve engineering productivity and business outcomes while maintaining strong governance controls.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business-relevant recommendations.

  • Proven success leading technical teams, establishing engineering standards, mentoring developers, and driving cross-functional delivery.
