Golfzon America is a leader in the golf simulator industry, transforming residential and commercial spaces into cutting-edge virtual golf environments. Our success is driven by innovation, precision, and a relentless commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.

We are seeking a Golf Simulator Install Technician to join our in-house installation team. Our lean team of install professionals completes nearly 400 installations annually. This role is hands-on, technically involved, and critical to the execution and delivery of high-end golf simulator solutions to country clubs, residences, and entertainment commercial venues, all of whom enjoy the amazing Golfzon experience for themselves and their customers.

Position Overview:

The Install Technician supports the mechanical and technical installation of basic and advanced golf simulator systems under the guidance of a Lead Installation Technician. You will assist with system setup, calibration, cabling, and troubleshooting, and ensure all work is completed to the highest quality standards. You’ll work across various environments and play a key role in ensuring our clients have a flawless, professional experience. You will work closely with our Project Managers to understand the specific project requirements and needs for each customer. You may be involved in training customers on system use after setup is complete, and assist the company with other customer service support as needed. Though this role is 100% remote, this role will support many of our US Midwest customers. Residency in the Midwest region would be a plus for someone living in or near the area, but not required.

Requirements:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Technical Production

  • Assist in the setup and calibration of simulator components (sensors, projectors, cameras, screens, audio systems, etc.)
  • Learn and assist with AV signal flow, network setup, and cable management
  • Work with the Lead Technician to test and troubleshoot issues related to video, audio, and simulator software
  • Help configure and tune audio/video levels to performance standards

Mechanical Production

  • Provide hands-on mechanical assistance during equipment and hardware installation
  • Follow diagrams and design specifications to mount screens, projectors, turf, frames, and enclosures safely and securely
  • Pack, transport, load/unload tools and equipment safely and efficiently

Production Support

  • Perform pre-installation checks and participate in post-install walkthroughs
  • Maintain an organized and clean work area throughout the project lifecycle
  • Provide daily updates and feedback to the Lead Technician and Project Manager

Customer Interaction

  • Represent the company professionally while on client sites and establish good working relationships with the consumer
  • Willingness to travel within the state and out of the state to various client sites required
  • Communicate clearly and courteously with clients as needed
  • Assist in client orientation and training on system usage when requested

Team & Process Involvement

  • Participate in lessons-learned reviews and process improvements
  • Adhere to internal quality control processes and installation standards, including safety, budget requirements from the supervisor, and professionalism to all direct reports.
  • Follow all safety protocols, PPE requirements, and installation best practices

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma, trade school certification, or equivalent experience
  • Experience with AV systems, general construction, or tech installations preferred
  • Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and electronic testing equipment
  • Basic knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, switches, routers) is a plus
  • Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, technical specs, and layout drawings
  • Strong attention to detail, work ethic, and problem-solving ability
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs and work on ladders, lifts, and in overhead spaces
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required
  • Ability to travel more than 80% out-of-state as required

Certifications (Preferred or Must Obtain):

  • OSHA 10 certification (within 3 months of employment)
