Accounting Assistant – Part-Time 25-30 hours per week
Hours: Monday – Friday 9 am – 2pm 
Work Setting: On-site, in-office position with a private office 

Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our small-office team. This position is ideal for someone looking to gain hands-on accounting experience in a real estate and property management environment. 
The Accounting Assistant will support daily accounting operations, maintain accurate financial records, assist with reconciliations, and help manage job and property-related financial information.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Preparing and recording journal entries 
  • Completing bank reconciliations 
  • Balancing and reconciling loan accounts 
  • Processing intercompany billings in QuickBooks 
  • Reviewing and auditing closed jobs 
  • Closing completed jobs and rentals once occupied 
  • Assisting with budgets for current and planned construction projects 
  • Updating and maintaining Excel spreadsheets 
  • Supporting other general accounting and administrative duties as needed 
Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word 
  • Experience using QuickBooks 
  • Understanding of balance sheet accounts and general accounting functions 
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills 
  • Ability to maintain accurate and confidential financial records 
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines 
  • Real estate, construction, property management, or housing-related experience is preferred but not required
