Job description

Product Engineer II
Location: Fresno,CA
FLSA Classification: Exempt / Salaried
Compensation Range: $90,200 - $107,800
(Compensation is determined by a combination of an individual's relevant work experience and educational requirements.)
Purpose
The Product Engineer II at Trillium Flow Technologies is an intermediate-level engineering professional responsible for driving product improvements, cost-reduction initiatives, and reliability enhancements across engineered flow control products. This role leads moderate-scope sustaining engineering projects, performs advanced engineering analyses, and supports supplier qualification and new product introduction (NPI) efforts. The position collaborates with cross-functional teams to resolve complex product issues and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead moderate-scope sustaining engineering and product improvement projects
  • Perform advanced engineering analyses, including tolerance stack-ups, DFMEA reviews, FEA, and VA/VE initiatives
  • Drive cost-reduction, reliability improvement, and product performance initiatives
  • Support supplier qualification activities, including technical documentation and engineering evaluations
  • Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions for product and process issues
  • Support customer investigations related to product performance, reliability, and quality concerns
  • Support new product introduction (NPI) initiatives, including design support, validation, and production launch activities
  • Prepare, revise, and maintain engineering drawings, 3D models, and bills of materials (BOMs)
  • Execute and support engineering changes (ECNs), BOM updates, and document control processes
  • Support product qualification and validation testing, including test planning, execution, and reporting
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to resolve production and field issues
  • Maintain accurate engineering data within PLM and ERP systems
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and environmental requirements, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001
  • Adhere to Trillium Flow Technologies' code of conduct and all company policies and procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Education / Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline (required)
  • 2-5 years of product engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated experience supporting sustaining engineering, product improvements, and cross-functional problem-solving

Certifications & Skills
  • SolidWorks Professional certification
  • Lean Six Sigma Yellow or Green Belt certification (preferred)
  • Proficiency with CAD and PLM systems; experience with Creo and Windchill preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of engineering drawings, GD&T, BOMs, and technical documentation
  • Experience with failure analysis, root cause methodologies, and corrective action processes
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
