Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Associate

Job Description

Join our dynamic production department as a Shipping and Receiving Associate, where you will play a crucial role in processing medical products and devices. Your responsibilities will include managing order sheets, retrieving specified products, and efficiently loading and unloading packages on a conveyor belt. This essential role ensures the proper sterilization of products before they are shipped to clients.

Responsibilities

• Take order sheets and retrieve product types and quantities listed on work order sheets.
• Load packages onto a conveyor belt and unload sterilized packages from the other side.
• Unwrap pallets and place products onto the conveyor belt, entering order details into a computer system.
• Display product placement in totes using computer-generated images.
• Ensure totes are filled and sent for sterilization.
• Receive sterilized products, palatalize using yellow shrink wrap, and manage inventory.
• Operate a forklift up to 5% of the day depending on daily assignment.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in shipping and receiving.
• Experience in packing, loading, unloading, palatalizing, and material handling.
• Ability to handle inventory, operate scanners, and manage warehouse distribution.
• Competency in using pallet jacks, forklifts, and managing stock shelves.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 2+ years of sit-down forklift experience.
• 2+ years of data entry experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Experience in physical jobs.
• Basic math skills (addition/subtraction).
• Good attendance record.
• Team player with willingness to learn.

Work Environment

Work hours are from 7:30am to 4pm, Monday through Friday. The role involves physical tasks and requires a team-oriented attitude in a fast-paced production environment. Employees are expected to wear appropriate attire suitable for warehouse operations.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Gurnee, IL.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
