You'll work side‑by‑side with engineers, influence critical technical decisions, and help guide innovative avionics products from concept through certification and production.

If you enjoy solving complex challenges, bringing teams together, and turning technical vision into successful execution, this is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the future of aviation.

The Opportunity

At Universal Avionics, we develop advanced avionics, enhanced vision systems, and intelligent cockpit technologies that improve aviation safety and situational awareness worldwide.

This is an ideal opportunity for an engineer who enjoys both the technical and leadership sides of product development and wants to play a visible role in shaping next‑generation cockpit technologies.

What You'll Do

  • Monitor project performance related to scope, schedule, resources, and budget objectives
  • Communicate project status, risks, and key milestones to leadership and stakeholders
  • Support compliance activities and ensure projects align with applicable company, customer, and regulatory requirements

  • Strong ability to influence and guide cross‑functional teams toward common goals
  • Experience balancing technical priorities, schedules, resources, and stakeholder expectations
  • Excellent planning, organization, and project execution skills
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as MS Project, Jira, or similar platforms
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem‑solving capabilities
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and make sound decisions in dynamic environments
  • Bachelor's degree in Software, Electrical, Mechanical, Systems, Project Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Minimum 5 years of engineering development experience and 3 years of engineering project leadership experience preferred
  • Aerospace, aviation, or avionics experience is highly desirable
Benefits & Perks
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • 401(k) with safe harbor match within 60 days
  • Every other Friday off
  • Vacation, sick time, and 14 paid holidays
  • Wellness and employee assistance programs
  • And more

This role is based onsite in Duluth, Georgia due to the highly collaborative nature of leading engineering teams, participating in technical reviews, supporting product development activities, and working closely with cross‑functional stakeholders throughout the avionics development lifecycle.
