Night Manager

Position Overview

As the Night Manager, you will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight to ensure the highest standards of guest satisfaction, safety, and personalized care throughout the property during the overnight hours. This role requires a poised, sophisticated leader with exceptional attention to detail, refined interpersonal skills, and a genuine passion for maintaining the "flaneur" spirit when the sun goes down. Serving as the senior leader on-site overnight, you will seamlessly balance high-touch guest relations with overnight administrative precision to transition the hotel into a new day of world-class service. 

Key Responsibilities

Operational Excellence

• Direct and oversee all aspects of the overnight front office and guest services operations to ensure a luxury, five-star standard of hospitality. 
• Maintain the impeccable, serene condition of the lobby, front desk, and public spaces during the nocturnal hours, ensuring every detail remains intentional. 
• Manage late-night arrivals and early departures with seamless efficiency, absolute discretion, and professional warmth. 

The Flaneur Environment

• Ensure the physical environment overnight continues to reflect the hotel's unique identity, keeping art and design elements perfectly showcased for late-night wanderers. 
• Monitor overnight ambiance, including lighting and music adjustments, to spark curiosity and delight for night-owl guests. 

Personalized Service Support

• Collaborate with the Guest Experience team to facilitate bespoke overnight requests, including late-night amenities, garment care, or specialized room preparations. 
• Identify and anticipate the needs of VIPs and late-arriving international guests, coordinating personalized "surprise and delight" welcome moments. 

Leadership & Collaboration

• Partner with Housekeeping, Engineering, and Security to ensure seamless service delivery and rapid response to overnight property needs. 
• Lead, mentor, and train a diverse overnight team, fostering a culture of professional warmth and five-star excellence during the night shift. 

Financial & Administrative Stewardship

• Oversee the Night Audit process, ensuring the accurate balancing of daily revenues and the smooth operational roll of the property management system. 
• Compile detailed, analytical overnight shift reports to track and communicate guest feedback and operational metrics to the morning executive team. 

Safety & Security

• Uphold rigorous safety and security protocols for guests and staff, acting as the primary on-site incident commander overnight. 
• Conduct routine property walkthroughs to ensure the physical environment remains completely secure. 

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or equivalent experience preferred. 
• Significant leadership experience in luxury hospitality front office or overnight operations is required. 
• Deep proficiency with luxury Property Management Systems (such as Opera PMS). 
• Exceptional communication and organizational abilities. 
• Proven ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure overnight environment. 
• A keen eye for detail, safety, and the "intentional elements" that define five-star luxury. 

Work Environment

• Dedicated overnight schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed to support 24/7 operations. 
• Physically active role requiring standing, walking, and the ability to inspect all areas of the property throughout the night.
