Role & Responsibilities:
  • Lead end-to-end execution of a 300MW Combined Cycle Power Island project comprising 17 Gas Turbines/HRSGs and 4 Steam Turbines, from engineering through commissioning and turnover.
  • Act as the primary point of contact between owners, OEMs, EPCs, field teams, and internal leadership, ensuring clarity, accountability, and alignment across disciplines.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules (Primavera P6), budgets, and risk registers to ensure scope, cost, and timeline adherence.
  • Drive implementation of utility safety programs, quality standards, and environmental compliance protocols in all phases of construction and commissioning.
  • Monitor project progress using earned value management, milestone tracking, and change management processes.
  • Facilitate cross-functional integration across permitting, procurement, civil, mechanical, electrical, and controls engineering.
  • Conduct weekly performance and status reviews with stakeholders, producing concise dashboards and KPIs for executive reporting.
  • Lead resolution of technical and contractual issues, escalating as required to maintain project health and strategic alignment.
  • Oversee contractor performance, punch list closure, and ensure readiness for handover to operations or client teams.

Qualifications / Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Industrial Engineering; Construction Management may be considered with equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of progressive project management experience, with at least 5 years leading combined cycle power projects including GTs, HRSGs, and STs.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering utility-scale power generation systems (300MW+), preferably in gas-fired or CCGT environments
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification.
  • Professional Engineering (P.Eng.) license or eligibility preferred.
  • OSHA 30, NFPA 70E, or similar Health & Safety certifications strongly valued.
  • Master's Degree in Engineering Management, Construction Management, or Business Administration (MBA) is an asset.
  • Strong command of Primavera P6, Procore, and Microsoft Project, along with MS Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with EPC, OEM, and utility-standard contractual frameworks.
