Become a Senior Metering Specialist at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you'll review and analyze service order results using advanced tools such as the Field Automated Test System (FATS), Electrical Meter Services Tracking (EMST), and Click Mobile to provide expert metering recommendations for unique situations-ensuring SCE tariffs and standards are met. Responsibilities
  • Performs in-depth analysis of service order test results and incoming service order requests by leveraging metering work management systems (Field Automated Test System (FATS), Electrical Meter Services Tracking (EMST), and Click Mobile) to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with business policies and electrical metering principles.
  • Researches Revenue Protection and Field Services service orders for consistency and quality.
  • Detects discrepancies between test results, system data, and departmental procedures.
  • Communicates analysis results and initiate corrective actions.
  • Prepares responses to Billing and other organizations based on service order test results.
  • Makes decisions and recommendations for metering procedures and policies, identifying gaps that could lead to inaccurate billing.
  • Develops recommendations for new test procedures and reporting practices.
  • Coordinates with clients to identify needs, develop action plans, and communicate deliverables.
  • A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Five or more years of experience in maintaining single-phase and poly-phase electrical metering services.
  • Possess a valid Class C Driver's License.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Successful completion of a recognized single-phase, poly-phase, and/or electrical theory training/testing at SCE or another institution.
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Business, or a technical field.
  • Proven experience with electrical metering theory and complex principles.
  • Proven experience with Field Services processes such as Order Instituting Rulemaking (OIR) and credit disconnects/reconnects.
  • Experience with proper installation of new customer metering installations and application of SCE Electrical Service Requirements (ESRs), including safety aspects of Meter Technician (MT) or Field Services Representative (FSR) work.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with peers, management, and other organizations.
  • Strong teamwork skills and ability to analyze information, develop solutions, and communicate results across functions.

Additional Information
  • This position's work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.
