What this job involves:
We are seeking an experienced Lead Electrician to oversee electrical maintenance, repairs, installations, troubleshooting, and projects within a mission-critical facility environment. The ideal candidate will provide technical leadership, ensure compliance with safety standards, and support reliable operation of electrical infrastructure.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Lead and coordinate electrical maintenance, repair, installation, testing, and troubleshooting activities.

  • Supervise and mentor electricians and contractors, ensuring high-quality and safe work practices.

  • Maintain and support electrical systems including switchgear, transformers, MCCs, motor controls, panels, generators, UPS, ATS, and power distribution equipment.

  • Diagnose and resolve complex electrical issues, perform root-cause analysis, and minimize equipment downtime.

  • Plan and manage preventive maintenance activities and maintain accurate CMMS documentation.

  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, one-line diagrams, wiring drawings, and technical manuals.

  • Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA 70E, OSHA, LOTO, and all site electrical safety requirements.

  • Coordinate electrical projects, including planning, material procurement, installation oversight, testing, and commissioning.

  • Partner with Facilities, Engineering, Operations, EHS, and contractors to support site reliability and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Participate in emergency response, after-hours support, and restoration of critical electrical systems when required.

Required Qualifications:

  • Journeyman or Master Electrician License (preferred/required based on site requirements).

  • 5+ years of industrial, commercial, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or facilities electrical experience.

  • Prior lead or supervisory experience strongly preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E, OSHA regulations, electrical testing, switching practices, and LOTO procedures.

  • Experience with 480V systems, switchgear, MCCs, VFDs, transformers, generators, ATS, UPS, and power distribution systems.

  • Medium-Voltage (MV) and High-Voltage (HV) switching or substation experience is highly desirable.

  • Strong troubleshooting, leadership, communication, planning, and documentation skills.

  • Ability to work in industrial environments, including heights, confined spaces, and controlled work areas as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting mission-critical, life sciences, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or large industrial facilities, including electrical distribution, emergency power systems, commissioning, and utility infrastructure.

Estimated compensation for this position:

65,000.00 - 67,000.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
