World Wide Professional Solutions is a project solutions organization committed to implementing lean construction, collaborative contracting, and execution approaches that enable breakthroughs in project performance.
World Wide Professional Solutions is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to support a major semiconductor fab construction project in Chandler, Arizona near Phoenix.
This position is focused on semiconductor base build construction, including site wide electrical infrastructure, fab and subfab spaces, utility buildings, electrical rooms, substations, distribution systems, temporary power, and associated facility infrastructure.
Candidates should have a proven track record managing electrical construction on large semiconductor fabrication facilities or similarly complex advanced manufacturing projects. Direct semiconductor fab base build experience is strongly preferred.
The ideal candidate understands large scale semiconductor construction, highly coordinated MEP environments, aggressive schedules, complex system interfaces, commissioning requirements, and collaboration between the Owner, general contractor, engineering teams, trade contractors, and commissioning teams.
Travel and Relocation Support
This position is based in Chandler, Arizona. Per-dem and travel support may be available for qualified candidates who maintain a permanent residence outside the local project area. Relocation assistance may also be available for candidates interested in permanently relocating to the Phoenix area.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and provide technical oversight for electrical construction associated with semiconductor fab base build and facility infrastructure.
  • Review electrical drawings, specifications, single line diagrams, equipment layouts, and technical documentation for constructability, coordination, and field execution.
  • Support site wide electrical infrastructure including medium voltage and low voltage distribution, substations, switchgear, transformers, electrical rooms, feeders, grounding systems, duct banks, and temporary power.
  • Coordinate electrical scope across fab, subfab, utility, support, and site infrastructure areas.
  • Resolve design, installation, field coordination, and system integration challenges throughout construction.
  • Act as an Owner representative when reviewing electrical design packages, equipment submittals, RFIs, and contractor deliverables.
  • Provide input to Architect and Engineer teams regarding site wide electrical infrastructure, constructability, routing, sequencing, and execution strategy.
  • Review electrical design specifications and installation requirements.
  • Assist in establishing major electrical routing strategies for the facility.
  • Coordinate with CSA, mechanical, process, BIM, VDC, and construction teams to resolve multidisciplinary conflicts.
  • Participate in 3D model reviews, clash detection sessions, constructability reviews, and installation planning meetings.
  • Review electrical equipment space requirements, access, maintenance clearances, and installation routing.
  • Participate in constructability reviews with field teams to optimize sequencing, installation methods, and schedule performance.
  • Review scopes of work and requests for proposals for major electrical construction packages.
  • Assist with contractor bid evaluations, scope reviews, technical clarifications, and contractor selection.
  • Provide oversight during the transition from engineering design into construction execution.
  • Coordinate with the Owner, general contractor, electrical contractors, engineering teams, commissioning teams, QA/QC, and project controls.
  • Monitor electrical construction progress and provide technical input on schedule impacts, field constraints, system readiness, and issue resolution.
  • Support electrical system energization, startup, commissioning, turnover, and final acceptance.
  • Assist in defining system boundaries and turnover packages to support efficient commissioning and facility startup.
  • Coordinate base build electrical systems with downstream facility, process, and tool installation requirements where scopes interface.
  • Maintain compliance with project safety requirements, NEC, NFPA, OSHA requirements, and applicable electrical codes and standards.

Semiconductor Base Build Experience
Relevant experience may include:
  • Semiconductor wafer fabrication facility construction
    • Fab and subfab base build
    • Core and shell construction
    • Central utility plants and process utility buildings
    • Electrical utility buildings and site wide electrical infrastructure
    • Medium voltage and low voltage substations
    • Switchgear and transformer installations
    • Electrical distribution systems
    • Main electrical rooms
    • Underground electrical and duct bank systems
    • Grounding and bonding systems
    • Emergency and standby power systems

  • Strong preference for direct semiconductor fab base build construction experience.
  • Demonstrated experience managing large electrical construction packages on complex projects.
  • Strong knowledge of medium voltage and low voltage substations, switchgear, transformers, electrical distribution, grounding, and facility infrastructure.
  • Experience coordinating electrical construction in highly congested and technically complex MEP environments.
  • Understanding of semiconductor fab construction sequencing, system turnover, commissioning, and energization requirements.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, single line diagrams, equipment layouts, specifications, BIM models, and construction documentation.
  • Experience reviewing electrical design packages, RFIs, submittals, change conditions, and contractor technical documentation.
  • Proven ability to coordinate general contractors, electrical contractors, engineers, vendors, commissioning teams, and project stakeholders.
  • Strong field construction knowledge and ability to identify constructability challenges before they impact installation.
  • Experience troubleshooting complex electrical construction and system integration issues.
  • Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA, OSHA, electrical safety requirements, and applicable construction standards.
