Job description

Works closely with Applications Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, and Operations Leaders, to integrate strategic and unique process tools and steps, intending to enhance overall process capabilities and results. There will also be a focus on the implementation of part tooling, part manipulation, and masking for new and existing applications. The Manufacturing Engineer understands business strategies, culture and work, and uses this knowledge to achieve optimal process output. Provides training, education, leadership and mentoring to others to identify and successfully integrate automation tools and complete simplification projects.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Explore and implement new ways to automate or enhance production process steps.
  • Evaluate and test automation tools and equipment and determine how they can best be         integrated into existing and new process development opportunities.
  • Lead the investigation and integration of tools, technologies, and equipment/systems that can enhance current process capabilities and/or allow for the realization of new business development success.
  • Create documentation for usage and training of new equipment and technologies.
  • Performs testing and evaluations and creates reports as necessary.
  • Develop Work Instructions for production and manages creation of global manufacturing standard procedures (MSP).
  • Collaborate with other business units
  • Works closely with Applications Engineers, Sales Team, Customers, Production Engineers to achieve automation and new process integration objectives.

 

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • May assist in other areas or perform other duties as required by fluctuating business needs.
  • Supports development projects - data gathering, organizing and reporting.
  • Adheres to plant and corporate safety policies.
  • Travel to other facilities as need to implement and train personnel on automation systems.

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in electrical engineering, Mechanical engineering or similar

   field.

  • Self-motivated; demonstrates high energy and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in project leadership and project management.
