District Manager - Service Operations

Location: Flexible within Urbanex markets (Southeast United States)

Reports to: Vice President of Operations and/or CEO

Compensation: Competitive base salary + performance incentives


Overview

The District Manager - Service Operations is a key field leadership role responsible for driving operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and financial performance across 4-6 Urbanex branches. This position bridges executive strategy with local execution, ensuring consistent service delivery, profitability, and adherence to Urbanex standards.

The ideal candidate is a data-driven, hands-on operator who thrives in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment. They combine strong leadership, analytical rigor, and a people-development mindset to build and sustain high-performing branch teams that deliver world-class pest control services.


Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership & Execution

Own operational performance, profitability, and customer retention across assigned branches.

Drive process adherence, safety compliance, and quality of service delivery.

Monitor daily/weekly performance metrics (e.g., Domo, FieldRoutes) and implement corrective action plans for underperforming branches.

Conduct in-field evaluations, ride-alongs, and operational audits to ensure alignment with Urbanex service standards.


People Leadership & Development

Lead and coach Branch Managers and Assistant Branch Managers to ensure high performance and strong leadership bench strength.

Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and professional development planning.

Identify and mentor emerging leaders within branches to build succession pipelines.

Customer Experience & Retention

Drive superior customer satisfaction and retention rates through consistent service execution.

Partner with branch leaders to resolve escalations and integrate customer feedback into operational improvements.

Collaborate with Sales and Customer Success teams to ensure smooth handoff and delivery readiness during growth surges.


Financial & Performance Management

Oversee P&L health for each branch; manage labor, materials, and overhead costs to achieve margin targets.

Partner with Finance to validate and analyze branch budgets, forecasts, and expenditures.

Lead structured monthly and quarterly performance reviews focused on profitability and operational KPIs.


Leadership Expectations

Maintain a high-visibility leadership style with weekly market visits and frequent field coaching.

Promote accountability, recognition, and operational consistency across all assigned branches.

Conduct weekly 1:1s with Branch Managers and monthly District Business Reviews summarizing performance, wins, and action plans.

Qualifications

8+ years of progressive leadership in pest control, HVAC, or similar home service operations.

Demonstrated success managing multi-branch or multi-region field operations.

Proven track record improving P&L performance, retention, and service quality.

Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Experience with operational technology (e.g., FieldRoutes, Domo).

Willingness to travel 30-50% of the time.


Compensation

Base Salary: $75,000 - $90,000

Incentives: Based on branch performance, profitability, and retention metrics

Target OTE: Competitive with industry benchmarks
