About the Role
The Gap Inc. Platform Photo Studio is responsible for creating and delivering digital assets that support five Gap Inc. e-commerce sites. We are seeking a Manager of Digital Production to lead post-production workflows for product photography across multiple brands. This role oversees a cross-brand team of full-time and freelance retouchers/digital artists and serves as a key partner to brand, studio, account, technical, and asset management teams.
This person will be responsible for leading the team, maintaining high standards for image quality and consistency, and ensuring post-production work is delivered efficiently and in alignment with brand expectations. The ideal candidate brings strong post-production experience, strong people leadership, and the ability to communicate clearly with brand partners and cross-functional teams. This role will also help support evolving workflows, technology, and tools, including AI, video-related needs, and asset delivery processes.What You'll Do
  • Lead and manage a cross-brand team of full-time and freelance retouchers/digital artists
  • Oversee day-to-day post-production workflows for high-volume product photography
  • Set clear priorities and provide direction to the team to balance speed, quality, and business needs
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for post-production with brand partners, studio teams, and external vendors
  • Build strong relationships with brand partners and maintain clear communication around standards, priorities, challenges, and risk
  • Partner closely with studio leadership, account managers, photographers, technical teams, and asset management teams to ensure smooth workflow and delivery
  • Establish and uphold image quality standards, consistency, and best practices across supported brands
  • Assess production needs and make informed decisions around workflow, resourcing, and priorities
  • Manage freelancer and vendor coordination, including tracking, reporting, and related financial oversight
  • Support process improvement and technology advancement across post-production workflows, including AI-enabled tools
  • Bring working knowledge of video workflows and digital asset management as they relate to production and delivery
  • Be present in the photo studio to support team leadership and cross-functional collaboration

  • An experienced people leader with a strong background in digital production or post-production
  • Skilled at managing teams in a high-volume, fast-paced production environment
  • Strong communicator who can build trust and clarity with brand and cross-functional partners
  • Experienced in retouching workflows, image standards, and e-commerce production
  • Comfortable making decisions, solving problems, and managing competing priorities
  • Interested in improving workflows and helping advance new tools and technologies, including AI
  • Familiar with digital asset management and delivery processes
  • Brings some video knowledge relevant to post-production workflows
