Position Overview

We are seeking an innovative and results-driven Senior Manager, Software Development Engineering, to lead our Platform and Data Engineering organization. This team is responsible for building and scaling mission-critical platforms that are foundational to Autodesk's success, including:

  • Content Platforms

  • Unified Search Platform

  • Metrics-Driven Experimentation Platform

  • Marketing Analytics and Data Engineering Platform

As a strategic engineering leader, you will oversee one or more of these domains, driving technical innovation, mentoring high-performing teams, and shaping Autodesk's platform strategy. You will work closely with product managers, architects, and business leaders to translate complex business requirements into scalable, reliable, and impactful solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Lead, manage, and mentor multiple Agile Scrum teams composed of full-stack engineers and data engineers

  • Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning

  • Partner with product managers, business stakeholders, and architects to define technical strategy, design robust platform and data architectures, and influence the product roadmap

  • Oversee the development, deployment, and operation of enterprise-grade platforms, services, and data products, ensuring high availability, scalability, reliability, and performance

  • Guide the design, development, and management of web services and APIs that power internal and external applications and data ecosystems

  • Apply expertise in Agentic AI and modern data pipeline architectures to drive innovation and scalable engineering solutions

  • Establish and enforce engineering standards for quality, reliability, observability, and data accuracy to support operational excellence

  • Champion Agile engineering best practices and drive iterative, high-impact software delivery

  • Leverage automation, DevOps, and CI/CD practices to improve engineering velocity, operational efficiency, and platform reliability

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with software architects, data scientists, product teams, and engineering organizations to build best-in-class platforms, services, and data products

  • Communicate complex technical concepts and architectural decisions effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Minimum Qualifications
  • 10-15 years of experience leading global Agile engineering teams, including full-time employees, contractors, and outsourced teams

  • Expertise in software architecture and system design, with strong knowledge of modern data pipelines

  • Hands-on experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, or Node.js is required

  • Proven track record of designing, developing, and operating production-grade data pipelines and web services

  • Strong understanding of API management platforms and API lifecycle best practices

  • Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and modern software delivery frameworks

  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable, enterprise-grade technical solutions

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence both technical and business audiences

  • Exposure to Agentic AI, AI-driven data platforms andpredictive analyticsis highly desirable

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related field is preferred
