Job description

Develop complex data activities and pipelines as per designs and requirements. Ensure code quality standards are adhered to. Understand LOB and/or functional data strategies and road maps. Utilize programming languages to build data applications. Deliver meaningful progress on the data engineering front to enable priority capabilities and objectives. Evolve the data office operating model by providing opportunities to the talent base, evolving the early career program, effectively integrating other reporting/analytics teams, and bridging all gaps in understanding data requirements. Identify opportunities to get more output from the delivery model and enhance stakeholder communications, building the 'digital front door' to meet customers where they are in their digital preferences. Expand the learning horizon to more technologies and programming languages in order to understand the functionality of data processing across other projects to reduce rework, streamline joint efforts, enlarge network and visibility in the organization, and ameliorate data quality standards of the projects assigned. Build metadata-driven ETL frameworks using PySpark and Informatica IICS. Work with cloud-native data architecture with Snowflake and AWS (EC2 and S3). Perform advanced data vault 2.0 modelling and implementation. Work with actuarial data in the insurance domain.

Requirements: Master's degree in Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Information Technology, Engineering (any), or a related field of study, plus one (1) year of experience with building metadata-driven ETL frameworks using PySpark and Informatica IICS; cloud-native data architecture with Snowflake and AWS (EC2 and S3); advanced data vault 2.0 modelling and implementation; and, actuarial data in the insurance domain.

Salary Range: $139,506.00 - $139,506.00 per year
