Job description

The Manager, Data Analysis and Reporting, will manage data analysis and reporting team to ensure that organizational data analysis and reporting is accurate, accessible, and usable for a wide range of stakeholders. The Manager, Data Analysis and Reporting, will also be responsible for leading, designing, and executing complex statistical analyses to address operational and research questions involving large datasets.


Reporting to the Director, Research & Data Intelligence, the Manager, Data Analysis and Reporting, is responsible for the following:


  • Supervise and develop a team of analysts in data analytics, reporting, and visualization to ensure timely and accurate dissemination of data analytics.
  • Lead day-to-day data and reporting projects by providing technical leadership across all phases of analytics, including study design, statistical analysis, database management, and participation in organization-wide initiatives.
  • Serves as the subject matter expert (SME) on methodological issues related to workforce and assessment data, providing statistical guidance and mentoring to staff.
  • Conducts advanced statistical analyses requiring complex analytic design and programming.
  • Plan, manage, and oversee projects proactively by anticipating workload, staffing, timelines, and resource needs while ensuring data quality, accuracy, and consistency across datasets, reports, and reporting processes.
  • Partner with stakeholders to gather business and research requirements and translate them into meaningful analyses, dashboards, and reports.
  • Oversee the development, maintenance, and enhancement of dashboards and reporting tools that support business operations and research initiatives.


The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in data analytics and applied statistics to support data-driven decision making, along with a strong background in research design, statistical modeling, and data visualization. The successful candidate will also have demonstrated experience supervising technical staff and leading complex analytical projects. Candidates should be highly proficient in statistical software packages such as SAS, Stata, and R, as well as SQL. The successful candidate will be equally comfortable working independently and collaboratively, with the ability to supervise staff, manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize competing demands, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities. Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, collaboration, and problem-solving skills are essential. The candidate must be able to quickly learn ABIM program rules and policies and effectively apply and communicate them in the context of data analytics and research. Candidates should have a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience conducting statistical analyses across multifaceted projects. A master’s degree or higher in economics, statistics, biostatistics, or a related field is highly desirable.


This role is based in our offices at 510 Walnut Street, Philadelphia PA, with the ability to work remotely three days a week. Our technology and facility teams provide and support a seamless hybrid work environment for all employees.
