Job description

Compass Technology is a dedicated internal team for Compass Group delivering enterprise-wide initiatives that support our diverse customer base and enhance our business operations. Our domain encompasses a vast spectrum of opportunities, from hands-on desk support to Cybersecurity, Cloud Engineering, AI, and Modern Application development. We are committed to building robust IT infrastructures, driving digital transformation, and much more.
Job Summary
This position will be supporting Sales Technology, a technical team within Compass Group, focusing on a multitude of use cases ranging from supporting new business sales, client retention, and operational needs across all Compass Sectors and lines of business.
The Dynamics CRM Functional Analyst supports the delivery and ongoing enhancement of Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power Platform, and related enterprise business applications. This role partners closely with business stakeholders, functional leads, developers, architects, and end users to gather requirements, document business processes, support backlog management, coordinate testing activities, and ensure successful delivery of business solutions. The Functional Analyst serves as a key liaison between business and technology teams, helping translate operational needs into actionable requirements and supporting adoption of new platform capabilities.
While this role contributes to solution planning and process improvement efforts, ownership of overall solution design, platform strategy, and product direction remains with senior functional leads, technical leads, and architects.
Primary Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Requirements Management
  • Partner with business stakeholders to gather, document, analyze, and refine functional requirements and business processes.
  • Support backlog management activities including enhancement intake, prioritization, user story creation, and requirements documentation.
  • Document business workflows, process maps, functional specifications, and supporting materials.
  • Assist in identifying opportunities to improve business processes, automation, and user experience.
  • Work with business teams to define acceptance criteria and success measures for new functionality.

Solution Delivery & Testing
  • Support configuration planning and functional solution delivery across Dynamics 365, Power Platform, reporting, and other enterprise applications.
  • Coordinate testing activities including test case creation, execution tracking, defect management, and release validation.
  • Facilitate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities with business stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with technical teams and offshore developers to ensure delivered solutions meet documented business requirements.
  • Participate in release planning, deployment readiness reviews, and post-release validation activities.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Support
  • Serve as a liaison between business users and technology teams to ensure clear communication and alignment.
  • Support issue triage, root cause analysis, and resolution coordination for platform-related requests and enhancements.
  • Assist with change management, user adoption initiatives, support materials, and activities.
  • Communicate functional requirements, process changes, and solution impacts to technical and non-technical audiences

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience supporting CRM platforms, business applications, or enterprise technology solutions.
  • Experience gathering and documenting business requirements, user stories, workflows, and functional specifications.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power Platform, or similar CRM platforms.
  • Experience coordinating testing activities, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and release validation.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement skills.
  • Experience working within Agile development environments.
  • Special Skills and/or Training Desired:
  • Experience supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales or Customer Engagement applications.
  • Familiarity with Power Platform capabilities including Power Automate and Power Apps.
  • Experience using Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar backlog management tools.
  • Experience supporting enterprise application implementations and enhancements.
  • Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power Platform, Business Analysis, or Agile certification
