What do we need:

The Creative Manager leads the design and production of critical internal and external content, including social media posts, web content, and digital and print assets. The ideal candidate will drive the creative direction for content, develop and maintain brand and editorial guides, lead earned media strategies and capitalize on opportunities, and align with ethical storytelling principles. Strong graphic design and writing skills, attention to detail, and ability to problem solve and manage multiple projects simultaneously is required.


Essential Functions of the Job:

Social media management:

  • Manage People Serving People’s social media channels to ensure that content is planned, aligns across channels, and raises awareness of organization for external donors and stakeholders.
  • Develop a social media calendar to align with strategic goals.
  • Create engaging social media posts consistent with organizational voice, values, and goals.
  • Stay up to date on emerging trends and changes in best practices and provide recommendations for implementation.
  • Engage in social listening across relevant channels and respond in a timely manner, sourcing ideas for uplifting messaging from other organizations.
  • Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and mentions to foster community engagement.
  • Manage digital media tools and platforms.
  • Monitor performance metrics and recommend adaptive strategies based on data and audience insights.


Public relations and earned media:

  • Assist in preparing content for press releases, press kit, and earned media opportunities (photography, video production, digital and print assets).
  • Coordinate details related to public relation needs (scheduling, room reservations, setting up for video, etc.).
  • Interview staff and guests consistent with ethical storytelling practices and produce resulting content.
  • Produce writing pieces, including short-form social media posts and website content website, persuasive content such as articles and op-eds, public policy writing, and short-form stories.


Creative design and production:

  • Serve as a primary steward of the organization’s branded visual representations across all channels.
  • Maintain a cohesive brand identity, including the ongoing development of PSP’s new brand, and across all channels.
  • Design and produce high-quality, brand-aligned print and digital assets grounded in best practices for content design and layout.
  • Create branded and engaging visual content (graphics, images, video) for use across digital channels (website, social media, email, paid and earned media).
  • Serve as the lead photographer and videographer for the organization.
  • Manage the design, production, and implementation of short-form video across channels.
  • Schedule, plan, set-up, and art-direct photo and video shoots.


Project management:

  • Drive logistics for creative projects.
  • Collaborate closely with the Advancement Operations Manager on project management for other team priorities as needed.
  • Build and maintain a digital asset management process (media releases, etc.).
  • Interface with print vendors, freelancers, etc. on administrative matters (paper selection, print quality, invoicing).
  • Ensure creative projects are completed on time and on budget.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Pay and Benefits:

  • $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 annually depending on qaulifications.
  • Full-Time, Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Requirements:

Required Education and Experience:

  • At least 4 years of relevant experience in producing compelling, high-quality content, and managing digital media, ideally in a non-profit, foundation, or other mission-focused setting.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent education and experience.

  • Exceptional writing, design, photography, and videography skills, including professional degrees, licensure, or certificates.
