Job description

The General Manager (GM) serves as the proverbial quarterback of the park and sets the tone
for the greater Team. They are responsible for all aspects of profitability, culture, and operations.
This person oversees all park positions, operations, programs, profitability, and business
development opportunities. The GM cultivates a safe and caring atmosphere for all Team
Members and Guests and develops park policies and procedures to maximize margins and create
a top-performing Team and culture.
The General Manager sets daily, weekly, and monthly goals and clearly communicates these
goals to the greater Management Team and to all Team Members. Hitting the goals ultimately
starts and ends with the GM. Delegation utilizing trust and verify methods will be key to effectively
managing all duties and responsibilities.


Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree or commensurate experience.

• Previous management experience with a history of success, preferably in the following fields:
Family Entertainment Centers, Hospitality, and restaurants
• Ability to work nights and weekends.
• Proven ability to prepare and meet a budget.
• Proven ability to hire, train, lead, and motivate a team.
• Previous sales and marketing experiences.
• Ability to efficiently problem-solve and develop policies and procedures when necessary.

experience.
• Leadership: Lives the core values and sets a positive tone for all Team Members.
• Develops a knowledgeable and friendly Team whose top priority is safety with high focus on
Guest first service.
Responsibilities
• Safety: Safeguard the park through the C3 program, always ensuring the park is safe, clean, and
fun for Guests and Team Members.
• Risk Management: Oversees all aspects of ASTM and Altitude standards for the park and
corresponding courts and attractions. Ensures all inspections (e.g. court inspections, pre-
opening checklists, and incident checklists) and maintenance are completed thoroughly.
• Drive Profitability: Utilizes an entrepreneurial spirit to drive profitability and stretch margins.
• Build and Manage a High-Performing Team: Hire, train, and continually coach the Team to
individual and Team success.
• Community Involvement: Actively involved in the community to drive brand awareness and
partnerships.
• Function as Manager on Duty (MOD): Operate the park during open hours of operation. MOD’s
should spend the majority of their shift (90% or greater) on the floor, coaching the Team, and
managing the Guest experience.
• Guest First Service: Proactively operate the park to satisfy all Guest needs and wants. Resolve
Guest services issues in a friendly and understanding manner.
• Develop the Team: Continually coach the Team to be friendly and knowledgeable of offerings
including but not limited to promotions, special events, and other park information.
• Human Resources: Oversee hiring, training, HR documentation, performance reviews, and
follows local, state, and federal laws.
• Create and Achieve Budgets: Forecast revenue and expenses to create and proactively meet
these budgets.
• Park Planner: Utilize the park planner to schedule marketing events, promotions, set revenue
goals, and project labor.

• Programs: Plan and execute in-park programming (e.g. Toddler Time).
• Cash Control: Prepares daily deposits and end of day reports. Completes weekly reports, cash
pickup or drop-off schedules, and maintains petty cash balances.
• Order Products: Creates inventory par lists and orders products to ensure all equipment and
products are available while balancing P&L
• Bill Pay: Pays bills on time and keeps accounts in good standing.
• Conduct Manager Meetings: Facilitates weekly or monthly manager to review performance,
track goals, and set future goals and expectations.
• Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s): Stays up to date with current and new SOP’s rolled out
from the Support Center.
• In-Park Marketing: Oversees all in-park marketing collateral and ensures they are ordered,
available, and removed in a timely manner.
• Competitor Evaluations: Understands local competitor landscape, prices, and offerings.
Routinely monitors these aspects, understands the needs of the park, and makes decisions
based off these factors.
• Other Duties as assigned.
