Job Description
The Clinical Site Coordinator is responsible for identifying and recruiting clinical sites for nurse midwifery students. Once sites have been identified this role will develop, coordinate, and maintain clinical education partnerships that support the Certified Nurse Midwife Program within the School of Nursing. This position serves as the primary liaison between the School of Nursing and clinical agencies, ensuring high-quality clinical learning experiences that meet state regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, institutional policies, and program objectives.
The Clinical Site Coordinator collaborates with healthcare facilities, physician and advanced practice providers, faculty, students, and administrative staff to secure clinical placements, manage affiliation agreements, monitor compliance requirements, and support student clinical success.
This position is also responsible for developing and implementing recruitment strategies to attract qualified applicants to the Graduate Certified Nurse-Midwife program, with a focus on students who intend on serving rural Missouri communities.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop, manage, and evaluate clinical placement processes for all nurse midwifery students.
• Identify, approve, and maintain relationships with clinical agencies and preceptors.
• Work with state agencies to enhance recruitment opportunities.
• Match students to appropriate clinical sites based on program level, learning needs, accreditation requirements, and site availability.
• Ensure placements meet state board of nursing, CCNE/ACEN, ACME, and certification-body standards.
• Monitor student compliance with onboarding requirements.
• Serve as the primary contact for students regarding placement processes.
• Recruit, orient, and support preceptors for CNM & FNP programs.
• Maintain accurate records of clinical hours, site information, and evaluations.
• Collaborate with program leadership to ensure clinical experiences support outcomes.
• May manage staff responsible for compliance and other related responsibilities.
• May travel for site visits.
• Create recruitment pipelines and promote the CNM program.
• Represent the program at recruitment fairs, conferences, virtual information sessions, and community outreach events to increase program visibility and engage prospective students.
• Advise prospective applicants regarding admission requirements, application processes, program expectations, financial aid opportunities, and career pathways in nurse-midwifery.
• Manage prospective student communications, ensure timely follow-up and personalized engagement throughout the recruitment cycle.
• Analyze recruitment, enrollment, and applicant data to assess the effectiveness of recruitment initiatives and recommend strategies for continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with faculty, admissions staff, and marketing teams to develop recruitment materials, digital outreach campaigns, and program messaging that highlight the unique strengths of the CNM program.
• Create recruitment pipelines and promote the CNM program.

Shift
Core business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Extended hours may occur during peak cycles or during travel for site visits.
Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 4 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary
Preferred Qualifications
• BSN or equivalent; MSN preferred
• Active RN license
• Minimum 3-5 years clinical nursing experience
• Knowledge of undergraduate and/or graduate nursing educational requirements
• Experience with GR nursing students
• Familiarity with clinical management system.
• Knowledge of ACME, CCNE/ACEN accreditation standards
Anticipated Hiring Range
Salary Range: $84,000 - $90,000 annual
Grade: GGS-011
