With a team of approximately 120 employees operating over 50 CNC machines, we specialize in precision machining, fabrication, assembly, automation, testing, and engineering solutions for mission-critical applications.

We are seeking an organized and proactive Machines & Facilities Maintenance Coordinator to support equipment reliability and maximize machine uptime across our manufacturing operations and contribute to the continued growth of our manufacturing operations.

Position Overview

The Machine & Facilities Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating all maintenance activities within the facility. This role ensures preventive maintenance programs are executed effectively, machine downtime is minimized, critical spare parts are available, and maintenance performance metrics are tracked and improved.

The successful candidate will act as the key liaison between Maintenance, Production, Purchasing, and external service providers to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintenance Planning & Scheduling

  • Develop and maintain preventive maintenance schedules for all CNC equipment.
  • Coordinate planned maintenance activities with production schedules.
  • Create, issue, and monitor maintenance work orders.
  • Coordinate planned & unplanned facilities maintenance activities as required
  • Track maintenance backlog and ensure timely completion.

Equipment Reliability

  • Monitor machine downtime and identify recurring equipment issues.
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
  • Track and report maintenance KPIs.

CMMS Administration

  • Maintain equipment records and maintenance history.
  • Manage work orders and preventive maintenance schedules within a CMMS.
  • Maintain facilities assets records and maintenance history
  • Generate weekly and monthly maintenance reports.

Spare Parts & Vendor Management

  • Manage critical spare parts inventory.
  • Coordinate procurement of maintenance supplies and replacement components.
  • Schedule and oversee external contractors and OEM service providers.

Continuous Improvement

  • Support TPM and Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
  • Participate in OEE improvement projects.

Safety & Compliance

  • Support maintenance safety programs and Lockout/Tagout procedures.
  • Ensure maintenance documentation and inspections are current.
  • Promote a strong culture of safety and accountability.

Qualifications & Experience

Required

  • 3+ years of experience in maintenance planning, maintenance coordination, or maintenance administration within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working with CNC machining equipment (added asset).
  • Proficiency with CMMS software.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and reporting skills.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Preferred

  • Technical diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, or Industrial disciplines (added asset).
  • Experience in a high-volume CNC machining environment.
  • Lean Manufacturing, TPM, or Continuous Improvement experience.
  • Understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems (added asset).
