Job description

Job Title: CNC Operator – 2nd Shift
Employment Type: Full-Time
Location: Gastonia, NC
Pay: $17.00–$19.00 per hour (Based on Experience)
Schedule: Monday – Thursday | 3:30 PM – 2:00 AM
Overtime: Must be available to work Fridays as production needs dictate.

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team in Gastonia, NC. This position is responsible for operating CNC machinery, producing quality parts, and ensuring production goals are met in a safe and efficient manner. The ideal candidate has previous machine operating experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to read measuring instruments and blueprints.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate CNC machines safely and efficiently to produce quality parts
  • Load and unload materials into CNC equipment
  • Monitor machine performance and make minor adjustments as needed
  • Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools
  • Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and production specifications
  • Identify quality concerns and report equipment issues promptly
  • Maintain accurate production records and documentation
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of safety hazards
  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and quality standards
  • Perform additional production duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
  • Previous machine operator experience required (CNC experience preferred)
  • Ability to read and use precision measuring tools, including calipers, micrometers, and tape measures
  • Ability to read blueprints and work instructions
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Reliable transportation and excellent attendance
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Must be available to work overtime on Fridays as production requires
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous CNC machine operation experience
  • Experience performing basic machine setups and offsets
  • Manufacturing or machining experience
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
